    • Method and circuitry for controlling duty cycle of an input signal towards a desired value comprising a sequence of at least two inverters arranged in series and feedback circuitry. A first inverter is arranged to receive the input signal and a last inverter is arranged to output a signal having the same frequency as the input signal. The output signal is an adjusted version of the input signal. The feedback circuitry is arranged to receive the output signal and comprises a comparing and supplying means. The comparing means compares the output signal with a reference signal indicative of a desired value and generates a feedback signal based on the comparison of the output and reference signal. The supplying means supplies the feedback signal to adjust operating conditions of at least one of the inverters, such that the duty cycle of the output signal is controlled towards the desired value.

    • A system including one or more input interface drivers, an input dispatcher, one or more applications, a system compositor and one or more output interface drivers. The input interface driver receives input events. The input dispatcher is modified to dispatch a current input event to a corresponding application after receiving an indication that a display image based upon a previous input event has been posted to an output interface driver. The corresponding application renders a new display image based upon the current input event. The system compositor posts the new display image to the output interface driver. The system compositor is also modified to send an indication to the input dispatcher that the new display image has been posted to the output interface driver. The system iteratively performs the process to latch the dispatching of input events to the display flip.

    • An uncoated polymer optical fibre (POF) that is sensitive to a chemical (e.g. water) and is used to generate a detectable change in its optical properties for the purpose of detecting that chemical when it is dissolved in liquid fuel. The presence of the chemical directly affects the optical properties of the optical fibre. The POF may be made of water-permeable plastic material and may have a grating section comprising a periodic refractive index modulation that exhibits a characteristic reflection or transmission profile to be monitored by a detector. The water-permeability of the constituent material of the POF permits diffusion of water into the fibre, thereby affecting its refractive index or geometry and hence altering the characteristic reflection or transmission profile of the grating section.
