摘要： Techniques related to classifying a posture state of a living body are disclosed. One aspect relates to sensing at least one signal indicative of a posture state of a living body. Posture state detection logic classifies the living body as being in a posture state based on the at least one signal, wherein this classification may take into account at least one of posture and activity state of the living body. The posture state detection logic further determines whether the living body is classified in the posture state for at least a predetermined period of time. Response logic is described that initiates a response as a result of the body being classified in the posture state only after the living body has maintained the classified posture state for at least the predetermined period of time. This response may involve a change in therapy delivered to the living body.

摘要： System and method for estimating a time to recharge a rechargeable power source of an implantable medical device. A plurality of measured parameters relating to the implantable medical device and an external charging device are applied to a model of recharging performance and an estimate is provided to a patient, perhaps in advance of charging. Once charging has begun, updated estimates can be provided until charging is complete. Once charging is complete, the model may be updated to reflect any differences in the estimated time to complete charging and the actual time required to complete charging. The model may be based on limitations to the rate at which charge may be transferred to the rechargeable power source over a plurality of intervals.

摘要： A medical device detects a patient posture state and adjusts therapy based on the detected posture state. A patient posture state may be transient. To avoid adjusting therapy in response to transient posture states, a dwell time may be imposed. Using the dwell time, only those posture states that are assumed by a patient for a minimum length of time will result in therapy adjustment. To help ensure that the dwell time is set to an appropriate length of time, patient therapy adjustment data may be analyzed. Therapy adjustments made prior to, or during, the initiation of the dwell time may indicate that the dwell time is too long. Other therapy adjustments may indicate that the dwell time is too short. Based on analysis of the therapy adjustment data, the dwell time can be adjusted to a length that is appropriate for the patient and/or posture state.

In a first phase, a first set of therapy parameter values are modified while the posture responsive therapy mode is deactivated. The user interface displays a representation of the electrical leads implanted in the patient and at least one menu with icons that the user can use to adjust the stimulation therapy. A manipulation tool menu may also allow the user to adjust the field shapes placed on the electrical leads, which represent the stimulation region.
