摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for injecting a patient including a container enclosing a hazardous pharmaceutical; a first pump to deliver a hazardous pharmaceutical to the patient; and a fluid path operably connected to the first pump, the container, and the patient. SOLUTION: The patient has a catheter 31 inserted via a femoral approach into the patient's heart. The catheter 31 is connected to a manifold 30 to enable injection of various fluids. A syringe 10 is filled with contrast medium from a line 20 and then injected. The syringe 10 is operated by a mechanical injector 40 including a piston 40a that pushes or pulls on the syringe plunger extension, thereby moving the fluid in and out of the syringe 10. SOLUTION: The system for injecting a patient includes a container 52 enclosing a hazardous pharmacy, a first pump 42 to deliver a hazardous pharmacy to a patient, and a fluid path operably connected to the first pump 42, the container 52, and the patient. The system further includes a hazardous material containment suitable for confining the hazardous pharmacy during connection of the hazardous pharmacy container 52 to the fluid path. The hazardous material containment, for example, has an opening to be able to be sealed, to be composed so that container 52 can be provided in the inside of the hazardous material containment before the container 52 is connected to the fluid path. The hazardous material containment also has a connector fluid-connected to a conduit; the conduit passes through the hazardous pharmacy container in a sealed condition. The connector is configured to be fluid-connected to the container. The conduit is configured to be connected to the fluid path.

摘要： An apparatus, system or method enables microbubbles to be created on demand for use as the contrast agent within a contrast medium administrable to a patient for purposes of a medical procedure. The system comprises a reservoir, a pressurizing device, a microbubble generator, and a controller. The reservoir stores a liquid. The pressurizing device conveys the liquid, along with the medium formed therewith, through the system. The microbubble generator is used to create the microbubbles within the liquid to form the medium. The microbubble generator has an inlet for receiving the liquid and an outlet for communication of the medium to the patient. The controller controls the operation of the system so that the microbubbles created by the microbubble generator are generated according to the demands of the medical procedure and are administrable within the medium to the patient.
