摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for detecting a foreign substance of a white food, which can precisely detect the foreign substance even in the case that an object to be detected has an irregular surface. SOLUTION: The apparatus for detecting the foreign substance of the white food, which detects the colored foreign substance mixed in the white food 20, comprises: a feeding conveyer 10 for feeding the white food; a camera 14 which is disposed above the feeding conveyer and photographs an optical image of the food; and an image processing means which applies an image processing operation including a binarizing process to the image. A belt surface 10a of the feeding conveyer 10 on which the food 20 is placed, is made of a white light transmitting material. First white illumination devices 16, 17 which emit white light toward a photographing region A on the feeding conveyer, are disposed above the photographing region A, and a second white illumination device 18 is disposed so that the photographing region is irradiated with white light coming from the position under the belt surface. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign matter detector of a cup jelly capable of eliminating trouble when the jelly is imaged to obtain a clear image and capable of certainly detecting foreign matter without erroneously recognizing the ingredients such as sariocarp or fibers mixed with the jelly as foreign matter.
SOLUTION: In the foreign matter detector 1 of the cup jelly equipped with an imaging camera 2 for imaging the cup jelly 30 and a controller 10 having an image processing means 11 for processing the image to judge the presence of the foreign matter, the imaging camera 2 is arranged on the lateral side of the cup jelly 30. This foreign matter detector 1 is also equipped with a first illumination device 3 for irradiating the cup jelly 30 with visible light from above, a second illumination device 4 for illuminating the cup jelly 30 with infrared rays or white light and the backlight 5 installed at the position opposed to the imaging camera 2 so as to hold the cup jelly 30. The first illumination device 3 is composed of a red LED, a green LED and a blue LED and the luminous intensity of the backlight 5 is made less than the luminous intensities of the first and second illumination devices 3 and 4.
