    • Systems, devices and methods are provided to integrate navigation data, such as GPS navigation data, with Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) expense reporting functions to flexibly, accurately and efficiently determine travel distances for expense reports. One aspect provided herein is a method of using a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to provide travel expenses for an expense report. Navigation data is used to determine a travel distance, which is associated with a PDA expense report entry. In one embodiment, a procedure for determining a travel distance is selected. One procedure involves calculating a route between a starting location and an ending location. Another procedure involves determining a distance along a track log between the starting location and the ending location. Another procedure involves incrementing a counter to monitor a distance traveled from the starting location. Other aspects are provided herein.

    • A navigation device displays representations of airspaces so that a viewer such as the pilot of the aircraft can more easily distinguish between the airspaces represented based on a status of the aircraft. The navigation device includes a display assembly for displaying information to a user such as the pilot of an aircraft. A processing system is coupled to the display assembly and is configured for causing the display assembly to display a plurality of airspace representations. The processing system varies the emphasis of at least one airspace representation relative to a second airspace representation based on a status of the aircraft so that viewer may pay special attention to airspace representations which are displayed with relatively greater emphasis.

    • Systems, devices and methods are provided for selecting a desired track log from a set of track log points so as to provide electronic systems, such as navigational aid devices, with the capability of more powerful and flexible applications. In one embodiment, a desired first endpoint and a desired second endpoint are specified for a desired track log. An actual first endpoint is assigned based on the desired first endpoint and a set of track log points. An actual second endpoint is assigned based on the desired second endpoint and the set of track log points. The desired track log is identified using the actual first endpoint, the actual second endpoint, and at least one track log point. At least one of the desired first endpoint and the desired second endpoint is capable of being specified by specifying a location. Other aspects and embodiments are provided herein.
