    • PURPOSE:To complement optical output in the missing wavelength range in a light emission spectrum of a high pressure mercury light with the light from a fluorescent substance by forming No.2 layer fluorescent substance film from lanthanum phosphate which has been activated with three-valent Ce and three- valent Tb. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent mercury light as per invention comprises a light emitting tube 1 which emits visible rays and ultraviolet rays, an outer tube 2 surrounding this light emitting tube, and No.1 layer and No.2 layer fluorescent substance film 3, 4 which are attached to the inner surface of this outer tube. The No.1 layer fluorescent substance film is made of a fluorescent substance having light emissive peaks in the wavelength ranges 440-530nm and 600-660nm at the time of light being emitted, while the No.2 layer fluorescent substance film 4 shall consist of lanthanum phosphate activated with three-valent Ce and three-valent Tb. Thereby effect of enhancing the rendering characteristic is obtained due to complementing the optical outputs in the wavelength ranges 440-540nm and 590-700nm, which are missing in the light emission spectrum of a high pressure mercury light, with light given by fluorescent substance.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the folding/bending process for a supporting wire by using a plate shaped metal support for supporting a light emitting tube, and performing single piece molding by press processing. CONSTITUTION:Existing invention includes a metal support 14 and a base 16 fixed to the end of an outer tube 1. The metal support 14 is composed of a stay 14a and, No.1 connection part 14b, a light emitting tube pinching part 14c, and No.2 connection part 14d separating from each other and extending to the same side from the named stay 14a, wherein a notch 15 is given to the light emitting tube pinching part 14c. External drawout lead 8 on one side is straight welded to the No.1 connection part 14b. while drawin lead 7 on one side is directly welded to the No.2 connection part 14d, and the other external drawout lead 9 is welded to the other drawin lead 6. This eliminates the folding/bending process for support wire from a stem as plate-shaped metal support in single piece molded body.

    • PURPOSE:To improve thermal resistance and prevent discoloration and peeling of a coating film by applying, to the external surface of an outer tube, a coating film having fluorine-contained resin with thermal fluidity as a main component. CONSTITUTION:A luminous tube 2 filled with mercury and argon gas is provided in the approximate center of an outer tube bulb 1 made of soft glass such as soda glass, and the luminous tube 2 is supported by stem supporting wires 3 and 4 and electrically connected to a base 5 fixed to one end of the outer tube bulb 1. Fluorine-contained resin 6 with thermal fluidity is applied evenly to the external surface of the outer tube bulb 1. Water repellency of the coating film 6 having fluorine-contained resin with thermal fluidity as a main component and applied to the external surface of the outer tube bulb 1 suppresses a sharp drop of the outer tube bulb 1 temperature, thus preventing cracks on the outer tube 1. In addition, the coating film 6 is provided with sufficient strength against irradiation of ultraviolet rays.

    • PURPOSE:To weld the lead-out wires of the electrodes provided on the both ends of a luminous tube directly to the two support wires provided in the outer tube respectively so as to intend to automatize the assembly work and also to improve the productivity of the lamp by using molybdenum wire added with potassium cilicate for the said lead-out of the electrode. CONSTITUTION:The lead-out wires 16, 17 are connected to the main electrodes 10, 11 on the both ends of the luminous tube 2 provided in the outer tube 1 respectively, and the electric power is supplied to the luminous tube 2 through these lead-out wires 16, 17. These lead-out wires 16, 17 are supported with the two long and short supporting wires 18, 19, and connected to the base 20 provided on the end portion of the outer tube 1. A piece of molybdenum wire added with potassium cilicate is used for the lead-out wires 16, 17 respectively. And by welding the lead-out wires 16, 17 directly to the support wires 18, 19 respectively, it is intended to reduce the material cost and also to automatize the assembly work to improve the productivity of the lamp.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate discrimination of lead wire by providing a curved external lead connected to a longer stem among a couple of long and short stems holding luminous bulb in the external bulb and a straight external lead connected to a short stem. CONSTITUTION:A luminous bulb 3 is held by a couple of long and short stem leads 4, 5 within an external bulb 1 of which internal surface is coated with a diffused film 2 such as calcium pyrophosphoric acid. An external lead wire 7 connected to the long stem 5 and an external lead wire 6 connected to the short stem 4 is extended straight. The gettering 9 in the external bulb 1 is heated with a high frequency to form a getter film 10 of barium. Thereafter the base 11 is loaded, the external lead wire 6 is connected to an eyelet 12 while the external lead wire 7 to a shell 13, forming a high pressure sodium lamp. Therefore, even when the external bulb 1 is diffused type, the lead wire is discriminated easily and connection can be done quickly and accurately.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce a noize of an instrument while suppressing oscillation of a holding line by a method, in which a luminous tube is held inside an outer tube while forming with a Monel line, the part, passing a side of the luminous tube, of the holding lines for supplying power. CONSTITUTION:A luminous tube 2 is housed in an outer tube 1 while being held by two long and short holding lines 3 and 4, whereby power is supplied to the luminous tube 2 through the holding lines 3 and 4. Thereby, the long holding line 4 passing by the luminous tube 2 is formed with a Monel line having a composition of nickel 60-70%, copper 30-40%, the tensil strength not less than 50kg/ mm. and elongation not exceeding 20%. Accordingly, the Monel line having small magnetism is used for the holding line, thus reducing the intensity of an alternating field generated by a current flowing through the holding line 4 as well as repulsive force against the alternating field generated in the luminous tube 2, while reducing a noize due to resonance of a shade or the like.
