      SOLUTION: The upper part of a first detecting element 12 is engaged with a rotating element 1. The lower part of the first detecting element 12 is engaged with a second detecting element 13. The second detecting element 13 is arranged under the rotating element 1. This provides a rotation angle detector which can be downsized, can increase rotation angle detection accuracy easily by increasing the outer diameter and teeth number of the first detecting element 12 and the second detecting element 13, and allows reliable detection.
