摘要： A memory card includes a storage unit storing key information and version information in association with the key information, the key information and the version information being issued by a key issuing authority and the version information indicating a version of the latest revocation list that has been issued when the key information is generated. A revocation list receiving unit receives a revocation list having a version; and a version verification unit compares the version of the revocation list received by the revocation list receiving unit and the version information. When the version of the revocation list is older than version information, processing by a revocation list writing unit is prohibited.

摘要： Provided is a recording medium which enables special playback processing such as fast-forward/rewind although part of the AV stream recorded therein is transformed. An AV stream, a first EP map, and a second EP map are recorded on the recording medium. In the AV stream, part of the multiplexed stream including a first video stream and a second video stream is transformed; the first EP map indicates one or more entry points of the first video stream; and the second EP map indicates one or more entry points of the second video stream. In the AV stream, TS packets constituting I-pictures, of the first video stream, indicated by every 4N-th entry point in the first EP map, and TS packets constituting I-pictures, of the secondary video stream, indicated by the entry points whose presentation time is closest to the presentation time of any one of the every 4N-th entry point in the first EP map.

A memory card (100) includes a media ID storage module unit (610) and a memory unit (120). The media ID storage module unit (610) includes a media ID storage unit (611) that stores therein a media ID that is specific to the memory card, and a certification unit (609) that generates certification information that certifies the validity of the memory card based on the media ID. The memory unit (120) includes an encrypted content storage unit (122) for storing encrypted digital content. The recording/playback device (200) includes a memory card verification unit (200) that acquires the certification information from the memory card (100), verifies the validity of the memory card (100) based on the acquired certification information, and when the verification has failed, prohibits decrypting an encrypted content or encrypting a content, and a content encryption unit (209) that, when the verification has succeeded, encrypts the digital content or decrypts the encrypted digital content.
