    • Provided is a performance management system 10 collecting management information which is used for performance management of a storage system 5 including a server 2 on which applications operate, a storage apparatus 3, and a switch 4 which couples the server 2 with the storage apparatus 3. The performance management system collects the management information from multiple resources existing on input-output paths that couple the respective applications with the storage, sets a method of collecting the management information from the resources, monitors occurrence of congestion which is attributable to input-output between the performance management system and the resources for collecting the management information, and collects the management information in accordance with the set collecting method. The collecting method is set in accordance with a processing method of using different timings to collect the management information for the respective input-output paths.

    • An object of this invention is to process image data in which a plurality of link destinations are set in one region. Another object of this invention is to allow the user intuitively to recognize the setup states of links, since link regions have different display patterns in correspondence with the numbers of link destinations upon displaying the link regions. If the designated link region has only one link destination, a dotted circle (for example) is displayed on the link region (S407). If the designated link region has two link destinations, a solid circle (for example) is displayed (step S409). If the designated link region has three or more link destinations, a double circle (for example) is displayed (step S408). Again, if the designated link region has only one link destination, an image at the link destination is set as display data (S421), while if the designated link region has a plurality of link destinations, all the link destinations may be displayed in a list (S415). An image at a link destination selected by the operator from the list is set as display data (S419).

    • Provided is a method of controlling a computer system which includes a host computer and one or more storage systems coupled to the host computer via a network, wherein the first processor executes an application job which executes data I/O in a logical storage area; the second processor executes a management job which executes the data I/O in the logical storage area; the method comprising: judging whether at lest one of resources of the computer system used for the data I/O of the application job is also used for the data I/O of the executed management job when performance of the application job drops below a predetermined threshold; and displaying information indicating the executed management job when it is judged that at least one of the resources used for the data I/O of the application job is also used for the data I/O of the executed management job.
