摘要： A compressor C has a construction comprising a cylinder block 1 in which cylinder bores 1a are formed, a front housing 2 and a rear housing 4 which are arranged at the front and at the rear, respectively, of the cylinder block 1. Pistons 20 which are accommodated in each cylinder bore 1a so as to be able to reciprocate, are connected to the cam plate 12, which connects to a drive shaft 6 so as to be able to integrally rotate, so as to operate, and the pistons 20 compress refrigerant gas according to the rotation of the drive shaft 6. A suction muffler 40, a discharge muffler 41 and a control valve 31 are provided between the cylinder bores 1a in the cylinder block 1. Further, a unit 60 which comprises a discharge check valve and an oil separator is disposed in the suction muffler 40.

摘要： An air-conditioning system has a refrigerant circuit. The circuit includes a condenser, a expansion valve, an evaporator and a variable displacement compressor. The system has a pressure difference detector. The pressure difference detector detects the pressure difference between two pressure monitoring points located on the refrigerant circuit. A control valve and a controller control the displacement of the compressor in accordance with the pressure difference detected by the pressure difference detector. This permits the displacement of the compressor to be quickly changed.

The control valve causes the compressor to seek a target displacement. A computer limits the target displacement when the demand for cooling is decreasing to improve fuel economy and to extend the life of the compressor.

摘要： A displacement control device comprises a control valve. The control valve controls the pressure in a crank chamber. The control valve includes a valve body, and an electromagnetic actuator. A power source supplies the current to the actuator. A switch device located between the actuator and the power source. A controller determines a target value of the current supplied to the actuator in accordance with an external condition. When the target value is changed to a new value, the controller controls the switching of the switch device such that the current is intermittently supplied from the power source to the actuator before the current is set to the new target value. This permits the displacement of the compressor to be smoothly and rapidly changed.

A temporary chamber is formed between the sensing member and the valve body when the valve body is disconnected from the sensing member. The temporary chamber is connected to the second pressure chamber. A second spring urges the sensing member toward the regulator surface. An actuator applies a force to the valve body that is opposite to the force of the first spring and that of the second spring in accordance with commands from an external controller.

An air conditioning switch turns the air conditioning system on. A temperature detector detects the temperature in a compartment. A control valve controls the displacement of the compressor such that the pressure difference detected by the pressure difference detector approaches a target value. A computer determines the target value. The computer changes the target value, depending on the detected temperature. The computer limits the target value to a target value limit. After a predetermined time expires from when the air conditioning switch is turned on, the computer changes the limit. This permits the displacement of the compressor to be promptly and reliably changed.

摘要： A control valve is used for a variable displacement compressor installed in a refrigerant circuit of a vehicle air conditioner. The control valve has a valve housing. A valve chamber is defined in the valve housing. A valve body is accommodated in the valve chamber. A pressure sensing chamber is defined in the valve housing. A pressure sensing member separates the pressure sensing chamber into a first pressure chamber and a second pressure chamber. The pressure at a first location in the refrigerant circuit is applied to the first pressure chamber. The pressure at a second location in the refrigerant circuit, which is downstream of the first location, is applied to the second pressure chamber. The pressure sensing member moves the valve body in accordance with the pressure difference between the first pressure chamber and the second pressure chamber such that the displacement of the compressor is varied to counter changes of the pressure difference. At least one of the first pressure chamber and the second pressure chamber forms a part of the refrigerant circuit.
