摘要： Controller and method for Handover (HO) based 1×CSFB communicates Calling Party Number (CPN) to User Equipment (UE) a in a cellular communication system. A first solution provides Interworking Solution (IWS) adding CPN sent to target Base Station Controller (BSC) via Mobile Switching Center (MSC) in Interoperability Specification (IOS) HO messages. A second solution provides that IWS sends CPN with Air Interface HO message and stores the CPN until UE transition to the target Radio Access Network and acquires a traffic channel. A third solution provides that IWS receives CPN from MSC with a paging message and stores the CPN until UE transition to the target Radio Access Network and acquires a traffic channel. A fourth solution provides sending AWI message to the target Radio Access Network from the MSC. A fifth solution provides that IWS sends CPN via Feature Notification Message (FNM) data tunneled to UE before the paging message to let user decide whether to accept a call before leaving 3G/4G cellular communication.

摘要： Multi-mode system selection (MMSS) enables a mobile station (MS) to prioritize MS preference for selecting particular radio air-interfaces (AI) across multiple standards (e.g., 3GPP, 3GPP2, WiMAX). 3GPP2 is developing a scheme MMSS-3GPP2 which is usually referred to as simply ‘MMSS.’ Other schemes exist e.g., proprietary ones (e.g., internal ePRL), an MMSS-3GPP based on the PLMN with Access Technologies of non-3GPP systems. MMSS OTASP messages and parameters are being defined in 3GPP2 to allow the carriers to provision MMSS parameters to the mobile device. With MMSS, the mobile can select and hence acquire cdma2000 and non-cdma2000 systems (e.g., LTE, WiMAX) based on carrier's preferences.

摘要： A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided in which 1×CSFB for communication of SMS messages in an LTE environment may be avoided. An IWS may receive a paging request message from a MSC, wherein the paging request message includes a first SMS service option indicating communication of a SMS message using a first RAT. The IWS may avoid an ESR procedure by analyzing the first SMS service option in the paging request message. Further the IWS may establish a common channel connection between the IWS and a target UE using a second RAT, wherein the first RAT and the second RAT are different.
