    • An electrophotographic apparatus comprises a photosensitive screen drum of a radius r.sub.1 having a number of apertures formed therein and rotating through a printing or charging area having a width W at a constant peripheral velocity v.sub.1, a record medium such as a charge transferring drum of a radius r.sub.d (r.sub.2 = r.sub.1) arranged opposite to the screen drum with a distance d at the printing area and rotating through the printing area at a constant peripheral velocity v.sub.2, means for forming on the screen drum an electrostatic latent image of a document to be copied, and means for generating a corona ion stream passing in the printing area through the apertures of the screen drum, whereby the corona ion stream is modulated with an electric field formed in or near the apertures of the screen drum so as to form on the transferring drum a charge image corresponding to the latent image on the screen drum. The screen drum and transferring drum are rotated at a velocity ratio k = v.sub.2 /v.sub.1 which satisfies the following equation. ##EQU1## When the record medium is a copy paper, it is fed through the printing area along an arcuate passage having the radius r.sub.2 at the constant peripheral velocity v.sub.2.

    • A processing method based on resist pattern formation, includes the steps of forming an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive rotating drum, forming a toner image on the drum by developing the electrostatic latent image with a hot-melt toner, transferring the toner image on the drum onto a processing target member made of a material that is dissolved by an etchant, in accordance with hot-melt transfer, and processing the processing target member based on the toner image thereon as a resist pattern. The processing step has an etching step of causing the etchant to act on a surface of the processing target member on which the resist pattern has been transferred, thereby selectively etching the surface of the processing target member.
