摘要： Provided are an ink jet recording ink (IJ ink), an ink jet recording ink set (IJ ink set) and a recording method, having excellent dispersion stability and ejection stability and being capable of providing images which is free from bleeding and which is excellent in color development property and rubbing resistance. An IJ ink and I an IJ ink set having long-term storage stability are provided. Also provided are recorded matter having excellent color development property and rubbing resistance, and an ink jet recording apparatus capable of providing the same. The invention includes: an IJ ink containing a colorant of a pigment and/or dye enveloped in a polymer, and water, and containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting: of acetylene glycol surfactants, acetylene alcohol surfactants, glycol ethers and 1,2-alkylene glycols; an IJ ink set comprising a plurality of the inks; a recording method of using the ink and/or the ink set; recorded matter printed according to the recording method; and an ink jet recording apparatus having an electrostrictive unit mounted thereon and is designed so as to be capable of ejecting the ink.

摘要： An ink for ink jet recording including at least a particulate pigment having a sulfur-containing dispersibility providing group chemically bonded to the pigment surface with a treatment containing sulfur, a penetrating agent and a liquid component including water. In one embodiment, the liquid component includes polyvalent metal ions and has a sulfur content that is 2,000 ppm or less as calculated in terms of SO42−. In other embodiments, the ink has (a) a sulfonic acid anion group or a sulfinic acid anion group and an alkaline metal or monovalent counter ion; (b) a penetrating agent having the formula R—EOn2—POm2—X; and (c) a sulfur-containing dispersibility providing group in an amount of 10×106 equivalent or more per gram of particulate pigment.

摘要： The present invention aims to provide an ink for ink jet recording that is excellent in storage stability and discharge stability and attains high coloration on regular paper or gloss paper and high glossiness on gloss paper. The ink for ink jet recording of the invention includes: water; and a pigment dispersed by using a polymer which is obtained by polymerizing at least 50% by weight or more of benzylacrylate and 15% by weight or less of (meth)acrylic acid as components of the polymer and has an acid value of no less than 50 mgKOH/g and no more than 120 mgKOH/g and a weight average molecular weight of no less than 10000 and no more than 120000.
