    • A foldable accommodating box includes a floor having a sidewall accommodating pocket, a pair of end walls pivotally supported on the floor, and a pair of sidewalls capable of being accommodated in the sidewall accommodating pocket in a mutually piled state. Each of the sidewalls includes a wall plate formed into a right-angled quadrilateral shape, a frame plate secured at right angles to an outer surface of an outer periphery of the wall plate, and a plurality of metal bars combined in a lattice shape and secured to the wall plate and the frame plate. The frame plate is provided with a notch for ensuring that when the sidewalls are piled on each other in an embraced manner so that their outer surfaces are opposed to each other, they are piled on each other with the frame plates partially adjoining each other on inner and outer sides. Thus, it is possible to prevent a portion of an accommodated member from protruding, and the sidewall can be constructed to have a sufficient strength, while avoiding an increase in weight. Moreover, it is possible to prevent an increase in thickness of the pair of sidewalls.

    • The invention provides a technique to manufacture a display device with high image quality and reliability at low cost with high yield. According to the invention, a spacer is provided over a pixel electrode layer in a pixel region. Moreover, a surface of an insulating layer which functions as a partition which covers the periphery of the pixel electrode layer is formed at a high position from the surface of the pixel electrode due to stacked layers under the insulating layer. These spacer and insulator which function as a spacer support a mask used for selectively forming a light emitting material over a pixel electrode layer, thereby preventing the mask from contacting the pixel electrode layer due to a twist and deflection of the mask. Accordingly, such a damage as a crack does not occur in the pixel electrode layer which results in having no defect in shape. Therefore, a display device which performs a high resolution display with high reliability can be manufactured.

    • The present invention aims at modifying a polyblend mainly comprising a polycarbdnate resin and a polystyrene resin into a thermoplastic resin composition having flowability and impact strength equivalent to those of a polyblend comprising a polycarbonate resin and an ABS resin, and at providing a harmless flame-retardant thermoplastic resin composition based-on the resulting modified composition. Specifically, the present invention relates to a thermoplastic resin comprising 100 parts by weight of a-resin mixture comprising 30 to 95% by weight of a polycarbonate resin (a), 5 to 70% by weight of a polystyrene resin (b), 0.5 to 20 parts by weight of a specific block copolymer (c) and, if necessary, 0.1 to 20 parts by weight of a polyalkylene terephthalate (d), and/or 0.1 to 20 parts by weight of a polyphenylene ether resin (e), and a flame-retardant thermoplastic resin composition prepared by blending the above composition with 1 to 40 parts by weight of an organophosphorus compound (f) and, if necessary, 0.05 to 5 parts by weight of a fluoroethylene polymer (g).

    • A thermoplastic resin composition can be obtained by adding about 0.1 to 20 parts by weight of a diene-series block copolymer (2) to 100 parts by weight of a resin composition containing a polycarbonate-series resin (1) as a basic component of which the proportion of terminal hydroxy groups relative to the whole of the terminals is 1 mole % or above (about 5 to 40 mole %). The polycarbonate-series resin base may further comprise a thermoplastic resin composition (3) such as a rubber-modified styrenic resin. The block copolymer component (2) includes an epoxy-modified block copolymer, etc. When added an organophosphorus compound as a flame retardant (4), or a fluorine-containing resin as a flame-retartant auxiliary (5), a halogen-free flame-retardant thermoplastic resin composition can be obtained. A thermoplastic resin with an improved flowability and impact strength can be obtained by modifying a polymer blend of the polycarbonate-series resin and the styrenic-series resin in quality.
