摘要： An enclosed motor-driven compressor includes a vertical crankshaft rotatably supported by two ball bearings and having an eccentric portion through which a motor element and a compressor element are operatively connected. The two ball bearings are disposed on opposite sides of the eccentric portion so that a reaction force of a piston which is exerted on the eccentric portion is supported evenly by the ball bearings. With the ball bearings thus arranged, the load on the crankshaft is lowered and the efficiency of the motor element is increased. A lubricating oil held at the bottom of a container is sucked through an internal groove of the crankshaft and then supplied from outlets to the respective ball bearings. The ball bearings thus lubricated have a prolonged service life. The compressor may have an oil sump disposed either above or below the ball bearing for improving lubricating condition of the ball bearing.

The crankshaft is secured to a rotor of an electric element and supported by a pair of ball bearings. The crankshaft is comprised of a concentric principal part, a concentric secondary part and an eccentric axial part positioned between the principal part and the secondary part. The eccentric axial part is connected to one end of a connecting rod. In one embodiment, the eccentric axial part overlays all of the principal part and secondary part when seen in plan or projection view from the axial direction of the crankshaft. One of a pair of ball bearings is installed in each of the concentric principal part and secondary part respectively so as to support the load caused by the reaction of the compression load equally on each side of the axis along which the force of that load is exerted.

摘要： A portable radio communication apparatus has a main unit and a detachable and chargeable battery pack. The main unit has a power amplifier (power module) for sending out high frequency power to a whip antenna for transmitting/receiving use and a transmit/receive signal processing section for signal processing in transmission and reception. The battery pack further has a nickel hydride battery of a layered structure, which is low in internal resistance and outputs a high voltage, for supplying power to the transmission power amplifier which consumes a large current, and a low-voltage lithium ion battery, which is high in internal resistance, for supplying power to the transmit/receive signal processing section which consumes a relatively small current. This configuration makes unnecessary the otherwise required stabilizing circuit for supplying a low voltage to the transmit/receive signal processing section. At the same time, the voltage fluctuations of the nickel metal hydride battery when the power amplifier begins transmission or at any other time would not affect the voltage from the lithium ion battery.
