摘要： A control system in an automatic transmission for controlling the change-over of the three speed change patterns which are a speed change pattern having a cross gear ratio on a low speed side, a speed change pattern having a cross gear ratio on a high speed side and a speed change pattern having a normal gear ratio. According to this controlling system, when one of the three speed change pattern is selected based one a throttle opening and a vehicle speed, and when it is judged that the gear shift from a speed range in the present speed change pattern to a speed range in the selected speed change pattern falls under on of prohibited conditions, e.g., requiring engagement and/or disengagement of three or more frictional engaging elements for the gear shift, the gear shift is performed using a temporary speed change pattern (including the present speed change pattern) including a speed range not falling under the prohibited conditions. Thereafter, the pattern selection is repeated and the change-over between speed change pattern is performed under a gear shift condition not falling under the prohibited conditions.

摘要： A primary regulator valve has a cutback port which regulates a line pressure to increase, at the first speed of D range, a throttle pressure is applied to the cutback port through a cutback valve. The primary regulator valve sets the line pressure from a line pressure port higher. The cutback valve has a spool which is compressed in one direction. A first control chamber which is connected to a hydraulic servo (for example, a second brake hydraulic servo) which hydraulic pressure is applied at more than the second speed is formed against the pressing direction, a second control chamber which is connected to a hydraulic servo (for example, a second-coast brake hydraulic servo) to limit a coasting condition of the second speed is so formed as to follow the above pressing direction. At the second speed of second range, the cutback valve, as the first speed of D range, the throttle pressure is applied to the cutback port. Furthermore, the primary regulator valve has a control chamber which regulates the line pressure to decrease. A pressure control valve (for example, a linear solenoid valve to control a lock-up clutch) is connected to the control chamber to reduce the line pressure when a manual valve is selected from N range to D or R range.

摘要： In an automatic transmission, torque shocks are effectively reduced in specific downshifting conditions where relatively strong engine braking occurs as a result of downshifting. When a downshift command to the automatic transmission is detected when an accelerator pedal is not depressed, a valve opening command is issued to a throttle valve so that engine output will have increased by the time the downshifting action of the automatic transmission actually begins, ignition timing is delayed so that an increase in engine output resulting from the opening of the throttle valve by a throttle valve control means is offset for a period starting at the time the engine output actually increases as a result of the opening of the throttle valve by the throttle valve control means and ending at the time the downshifting action of the automatic transmission actually beings, and the ignition timing delaying is cancelled upon initiation of the downshifting action of the automatic transmission.

It is decided whether or not a slip control of changing the lock-up clutch from a complete apply state to a slip state is to be executed according to the operation of lowering the output of the prime mover. The output of said prime mover is changed to suppress the output fluctuation of the prime mover when it is decided that the slip control of the lock-up clutch is to be executed.

摘要： A condition for driving an electric oil pump is set. A turbine speed or an input speed of an automatic transmission is measured. A correction amount for a hydraulic pressure is calculated on the basis of the turbine speed obtained by reference to a relation between the turbine speed and hydraulic pressure, and a correction amount for a drive duty ratio of the electric oil pump which is required for generation of the corrected hydraulic pressure is calculated. The procedure is resumed after the procedure has been performed. The condition for driving the electric oil pump is updated on the basis of the correction amount for the drive duty ratio calculated.

This arrangement can limit successive operating time for the electric oil pump (40), suppressing wear of the electric oil pump (40) and thus prolonging its life. Provision of a larger electric oil pump (40) can also be avoided.

The shift control system comprises: a mode selector for interchanging an automatic shift mode to effect a shift according to a first gear stage train, which is composed of a plurality of gear stages selected from those capable of being set with the gear train, a manual shift mode to effect a shift according to a second gear stage train, which is composed of other plural gear stages selected from those capable of being set with the gear train; an automatic shift output device for outputting a shift signal in accordance with the running state of the vehicle to set any of the gear stages of the first gear stage train when the automatic shift mode is selected; a gear stage selector for outputting an upshift signal and a downshift signal in response to the manual operations of upshift and downshift, respectively, when the manual shift mode is selected; a manual shift output device responding to the upshift signal and downshift signal outputted from the gear stage selector, for outputting a shift signal to select a gear stage from the second gear shift train and to set the selected gear stage; and a hydraulic controller for feeding/releasing an oil pressure to the friction devices to set the gear stage which is commanded by the shift signals outputted from the automatic shift output device and the manual shift output device.
