摘要： A thermoplastic molding composition characterized by its flame retardance and impact strength is disclosed. The composition contains (A) linear aromatic (co)polycarbonate, (B) a graft (co)polymer having core-shell morphology, the shell containing polymerized alkyl(meth)acrylate and the core containing interpenetrated and inseparable polyorganosiloxane and poly(meth)alkyl acrylate components, (C) a phosphorous-containing flame retardant compound, (D) fluorinated polyolefin and (E) a boron compound, and optionally SAN. The composition is further characterized in that it contains no polyalkylene terephthalate.

摘要： The present invention relates to a flame-retardant, optically clear thermoplastic molding composition. The composition contains a A) about 60 pbw to about 97 pbw of a polycarbonate, B) about 1 pbw to about 20 pbw of bromine-substituted oligocarbonate, C) about 1 pbw to about 20 pbw of a phosphorus-containing compound and D) about 0.01 pbw to about 1 pbw of at least one alkali or alkaline-earth salt of perfluoroalkane sulfonic acid and optionally E) about 0.01 to about 1 pbw of a phosphite antioxidant/stabilizer. In accordance with UL-94 standard the flame-retardant, optically clear thermoplastic molding composition is rated 5VA at 3.00 mm and V-0 at 2.3 mm, more preferably V-0 at 1.5 mm according to UL-94.

摘要： A tri-block copolymer is disclosed for use in thermoplastic blends. The tri-block copolymer comprises an aromatic monomer, an olefin monomer, and a alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer. One use is for a thermoplastic polymer blend which comprises (a) at least one thermoplastic polycondensate polymer, preferably both a polycarbonate and a polyester, and (b) a combination of impact modifiers. The combination of impact modifiers comprises (i) a core/shell additive having an elastomeric core, (ii) a linear terpolymer of ethylene, alkyl (meth)acrylate, and a monomer which contains a heterocycle containing one oxygen atom as the hetero-atom, and (iii) the tri-block copolymer. A second use is the tri-block copolymer as the sole impact modifier for a blend of polycarbonate and polyester.

The gloss of the composition is lower than that of a corresponding composition that contains none of component (C).
