摘要： Quality thermoplastic fusion welds are formed in prefabricated resin composite parts by aligning a susceptor along a bondline between parts with the induction coil segments of a solenoid induction coil along the centerline of the coil. Energizing the coil heats the susceptor to form the weld at the bondline. For this operation, our induction heating workcell users complementary dies that define a central cavity with an oval pattern of induction cool segments surrounding all faces of the cavity where the preform composite parts and susceptor are positioned.

摘要： A fixed coil induction heater produces quality thermoplastic fusion welds in prefabricated resin composite parts. A susceptor along a bondline between parts aligns with the induction coil segments of a solenoid induction coil along the centerline of the coil. 摘要： An induction heating system for fabricating a part by heating and forming the part. The induction heating system comprises a smart susceptor that includes a susceptor material that responds to an electromagnetic flux by generating heat and a cavity defined by the susceptor material that is configured to hold the part. An induction coil of the induction heating system is supplied with electrical power so as to generate the electromagnetic flux necessary for the susceptor to generate heat. A temperature controller includes a power supply that supplies electrical power to the induction coil. A controlling element of the temperature controller monitors trends in the electrical power supplied and changes the amount of electrical power being supplied so as to control the temperature of the part during fabrication.

Alternately, the superconducting bearing may be supported by a cryostat connected to a ground state by posts constructed from a mesh of fibers, with the damping and stiffness controlled by the fiber composition, size, and mesh geometry.
