    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for efficiently constructing a soil improving pile with a large bore without carrying out driving-back by a casing pipe.
      SOLUTION: The apparatus for constructing the soil improving pile includes an upper casing pipe 1 with a diameter smaller than the finish diameter of the constructed soil improving pile; a lower casing pipe 2 formed in a bore equal to the finish diameter of the constructed pile and protrusively provided at the tip of the upper casing pipe 1; a pair of preceding parts 3, 3 protrusively provided at the tip of the lower casing pipe 2; and an angle part 4 protrusively provided between the preceding parts 3, 3. The preceding parts 3, 3 are provided hanging by a predetermined length below the lower casing pipe 2 while facing in the diametrical direction of the lower casing pipe 2 at a space equivalent to the finish diameter of the constructed soil improving pile. The angle part 4 is formed of two boring parts 4a, 4a into equilateral angle shape with the lower end projected upward from the side view.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method of a ground improvement pile which can efficiently construct a large-diameter ground improvement pipe without performing driving-back by a casing pipe.SOLUTION: A large-diameter casing pipe comprises an upper casing pipe 1 formed to have a diameter smaller than a finished diameter of a ground improvement pile to be constructed and a lower casing pipe 2 formed to have a large diameter approximately equal to the finished diameter of the ground improvement pile to be constructed, and is provided with preceding parts 3, 3 for drilling the ground at the tip thereof. A filling material is fed into the casing pipe while generating stresses of the circumferential ground in the lateral direction to forcibly increase density thereof by penetrating the casing pipe into the ground. The filling material in the casing pipe is discharged into the ground while pulling out the casing pipe. A ratio of the length of the upper casing pipe 1 to that of the lower casing pipe 2 is changed according to soil properties.
