    • A memory card connector assembly (30) includes a switch for detecting insertion of a memory card (C) into the connector. A connector housing receives the memory card for movement from a preload position to an inserted position. The switch is attached to the housing and includes a switch member movable between an open position and a closed position. The switch also includes a fixed switch contact (76) and a movable switch contact (78) operatively associated with the switch member for movement into engagement with the fixed switch contact in response to movement of the switch member from its open position to its closed position. A cover (80) encloses the switch contacts and at least a portion of the switch member, with the switch member having an actuating portion projecting through an opening in the cover and into the path of movement of the memory card. As the card moves from its preload position to its inserted position, the card engages the switch member to move the switch member from its open position to its closed position, engaging the switch contacts, and thereby detect insertion of the memory card into the connector.

    • A memory card connector includes a main body and mounted on the body for receiving a memory card therebetween. The card is insertable to a fully mated position, and the cover is mounted for movement on the body from an inoperative position to an eject position. An eject device includes a single spring mounted on the body and having a first portion. Operatively associated with the cover to bias the cover toward its inoperative position. A second portion of the single spring is operatively associated with the memory card for biasing the card in an eject direction away from its mated position.

    • An electrical-wire support structure (30) is disposed at a rotary connection portion of a device and connects first and second portions (11, 12) of the device. The second portion being rotatable about at least two rotational axes. The electrical-wire support structure includes frame members having a through-hole (36, 43) through which an electrical wire (51) may pass, and the through-hole (36, 43) is positioned on one of the rotational axes. An electrical wire (51) has first and second opposite ends. The first end is configured to be disposed on the first portion (11) and the second end is configured to be disposed on the second portion (12).     • A press fit pin of the present invention has a press-fitted region to be press-fitted and connected to a conductive through hole of a printed circuit board or other circuit substrate. The press-fitted region is fonned into substantially an M-shape in cross-section, which has two beam-like regions extending substantially in parallel, and a connection region connecting the beam-like regions in a deformable manner. The connection region is formed into such an arcuate shape in cross-section that an upper surface corresponding to a valley side of the M-shape is a concave surface and an opposite lower surface is a convex surface.     • An intermediate connector for engaging a surface mount connector and a cable connector contains conductive terminals (17) in a body portion (16). The body portion is cooperatively defined by distinct and separate terminal contact support portions (14, 15) that are affixed to opposite ends of the connector terminals. The support portions may be affixed to the connector terminals from different directions and thus eliminates the need for a complex molded connector housing. The support portions and the terminals are held together and aligned by a retainer (66) and a spacer (65) is provided to maintain a desired spacing between the terminals of the connector.
