摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound useful as an intermediate for a dye in high purity in a short time, by brominating 1-aminoanthraquinone in sulfuric acid in the presence of boric acid, adjusting the amount of the sulfuric acid if necessary, and then hydrolyzing the reaction product. CONSTITUTION:One mole 1-aminoanthraquinone is reacted with bromine in the presence of 0.5-5mol boric acid in sulfuric acid to give 1-amino-2,4-dibromoanthraquinone. The reaction is carried out in the sulfuric acid or fuming sulfuric acid in an amount of 2-10 times that of the 1-aminoanthraquinone at 60-70 deg.C. The amount and/or the concentration of the sulfuric acid are adjusted if necessary, and the reaction mixture is heated while recovering the excess bromine by distillation, and then hydrolyzed at 100-140 deg.C to give the titled compound. The addition of the boric acid to be used for the hydrolysis from the initial period of the reaction permits the reduction of the bromination reaction time and the inhibition of the formation of impurities as a by-product.

摘要： PURPOSE:To milden the initial reaction, and to obtain the title compound with suppressed by-products, by feeding aminoanthraquinone with an alkaline condensation agent in portions to a reaction system comprising dimethyl sulfoxide and an oxidizing agent. CONSTITUTION:One or more materials of 1-aminoanthraquinone (A) and an alkaline condensation agent (C) are fed to a reaction system comprising dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and an oxidizing agent (B) in portions, and/or the amount of water present in the system is adjusted to give the objective compound. For example, DMSO, A, and 0-50% alkaline condensing agent, e.g. KOH of the total amt. of (C), are fed to a reactor, and the remaining C is slowly added to drive the reaction in the presence of (B), e.g. air, at 80-140 deg.C. Water is distilled off, if necessary, to complete the reaction.
