    • PURPOSE:To prevent revolution of an equalizer arranged between front and rear plate springs and occurrence of a slip event when its occurrence is forecast in a rear 2-shaft suspension for a trailer in which the plate springs are mounted on each shaft. CONSTITUTION:A 4-spring short rocker type suspension system mounts the front, center, and rear hangers 2-4 and arranges each plate springs 5 and 6 between an equalizer 17 which is mounted on the center hanger 3 so as to freely revolve and the hangers 2-4 so that they can be slide-contacted in each end. Besides, both the hangers 2 and 3 and front and rear wheels 7 and 8 are connected by torque rods 15 and 16. In the said system, a hole is provided near the center of revolution of the equelizer 17 of the center hanger 3 and a bolt 19 for the equalizer stopper can be inserted in this hole. This bolt 19 is inseted only when the occurrence of a slip event is forecast.

    • PURPOSE:To increase the height of get-over, to keep an initial axle weight share ratio from fluctuating and to reduce the weight transfer from an axle, by lengthening an equalizer, optimizing the angle of a shackle and lowering the mounted position of a torque rod at the side of the axle. CONSTITUTION:An equalizer 7 is set at a lever ratio divided in inverse proportion to an initial axle weight share ratio required for axles 5, 6. The ratio between the constants of springs 9, 10 is made equal to the initial axle weight share ratio. As a result, the initial rest angle of the equalizer 7 is prevented from fluctuating due to carried weight. The total length of the equalizer 7 is made large within such a range that the asymmetric ratio of the springs 9, 10 is not greatly changed. The span of the springs 9, 10 is lengthened. The angle of shackles 8 as to the vertical line is set at 0 to 10 deg.. The mounted positions of torque rod 15, 16 at the sides of the axles 5, 6 are made lower than the straight lines extending on the center lines of the axles 5, 6 and the centers of mounting of the rods 15, 16 opposite the axles 5, 6. Wearresistant silencing pads 17 are interposed between the contact portions of the springs 9, 10 and front and rear hangers 2, 4.
