摘要： An oil filter is provided being of the type which comprises a housing opened at one end thereof, a cylindrical first separator unit disposed in the housing for removing solid contaminants from an oil introduced into the housing, and a second separator unit disposed within the first separator unit for removing gaseous contaminants from the oil that has passed through the first separator unit, the second separator unit including a cylindrical casing having at least one inlet passage, a funnel-shaped cyclone fitted in the casing to define a chamber for a vortical flow of the oil introduced therein to thereby separate gas-rich oil and a removal pipe extending into the chamber along an axial center thereof for discharging the gas-rich oil. The improvement resides in that the casing has a head portion defined by a circumferential wall having an increased thickness, and that the inlet comprises an inlet passage formed through the circumferential wall and inclined relative to a radial direction of the head portion to have a greater length than the thickness to the circumferential wall. The inclined inlet passage having significant length contributes to an enhancement of the vortical flow to be subsequently generated in the chamber.

摘要： An oil filter is provided, the oil filter being of the type which comprises a housing (10) opened at one end thereof, a cylindrical first separator unit (A) disposed in the housing for removing solid contaminants from an oil introduced into the housing, and a second separator unit (B) disposed within the first separator unit for removing gaseous contaminants from the oil that has passed through the first separator unit, the second separator unit (B) including a funnel-shaped cyclone (38) defining a chamber (42) arranged to generate a vortical flow of the oil introduced therein to thereby separate gas-rich oil and a removal pipe (50) extending into the chamber (42) along an axial centre thereof for discharging the gas-rich oil. A plurality of elongated pores (54) are formed in a wall of the cyclone (38) defining the chamber (42) for allowing the oil containing little gaseous contaminants to flow out of the cyclone (38). The elongated shape of the pore (54) enables reduction in the number of pores to be formed without affecting the gas separating function and, therefore, facilitates manufacture of the cyclone both in the work and cost involved.

摘要： An oil filter is disclosed which comprises a housing opened at one end, a first separator unit disposed in the housing for removing solid contaminants from an oil and a second separator unit for removing gaseous contaminants. The first separator unit includes cylindrical primary and secondary filter elements aligned with each other, the secondary filter element being finer than the primary filter element. The second separator unit is accommodated within the space defined by an inner periphery of the primary filter element and includes a cylindrical casing, a cyclone disposed within the casing for defining a chamber arranged to generate a vortical flow of the oil introduced therein to thereby separate a gas-rich oil which gathers in an axially central portion of the chamber, the cyclone having a plurality of pores formed therethrough, and a removal pipe extending along an axis of the chamber and having a plurality of orifices, the removal pipe having a portion projecting from the cyclone. A pipe extends within the secondary filter element for defining a circular space between an inner periphery of the secondary filter element and the pipe, and communicates with the chamber through the pores for leading an oil containing little gaseous contaminants outside the housing. A duct is disposed in the pipe and comprises a vertical section and a horizontal section, the vertical section receiving an end of the portion of the removal pipe while the horizontal section penetrates a wall of the pipe to open in the circular space for discharging the gas-rich oil.
