    • PURPOSE:To prevent the development of casting flash on surface of a casting product by shifting molding work to core main body forming process after applyig thermohardening resin having hardening temp. lower than that of core sand for forming a second core constituting part, on surface of a first core constituting member. CONSTITUTION:Beforehand, the shell mold forming is executed to the first core constituting member 5 constituting a part of the core main body 1. After forming the thermohardening resin coating layer 8 having hardening temp. lower than that of the core sand 7 for forming the second core constituting member 6 on the surface of the first core constituting member 5, the molding work is shifted to the core main body forming process. Even under condition, which temp. of the first core constituting member 5 is lower than heating temp. of a forming die 2 for the core main body 1, the coating layer 8 can be har dened at the same time of hardening of the core sand 7 at part except the boundary part with the first core constituting member 5. By this method, without forming any gap at the boundary part between the first core constituting mem ber 5 and the second core constituting member 6, the development of the casting flash on the surface of product can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To form good casting surfaces by applying an aq. soln. essentially consisting of a binder on the surface of an expendable pattern to form a binder layer and embedding the above-mentioned expendable pattern into a fluidized bed disposed with air ejection holes in the inside bottom of a container contg. particles, etc., of refractories, thereby sticking the refractories thereon. CONSTITUTION:The aq. soln. essentially consisting of the binder is applied on the surface of the expendable pattern 11 to form the binder layer. The expendable pattern 11 is embedded into the fluidized bed disposed with the air ejection parts 3 for accelerating the movement of the housed material in the inside bottom of the vessel 2 housing the particles, powder, flakes, etc., of the refractories. The particles, etc., of the refractories are stuck onto the surface of the binder layer of the expendable pattern 11, by which the thickness of the layers stuck with the fine particles of the refractories is nearly uniformized even in the case of the expendable pattern body having intricate shapes or the pattern body having a hole in the inside. The good casting surfaces are formed in this way and the working efficiency is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the development of casting defect caused by refractory particles or powder after pouring molten metal by applying water solution containing binder as the essential component on a lost foam pattern in a stage for applying facing agent to the lost foam pattern and after that, successively, executing a stage for sticking the refractory particles or powder to the lost foam pattern in the lost foam pattern casting method. CONSTITUTION:The lost foam patterns 1, 2 are formed with foaming styrene- made patterns 11, 12 and patterns 21, 22, (the first stage) and a sprue 3 is attached (the second stage) and the facing agent is applied on the whole surface of the lost foam patterns 1, 2 (the third stage) and after drying, these are set into a casting vessel 4 and embedded in molding sand 5 (the fourth stage) and the molten metal 7 is poured (the fifth stage). By this method, the casting defect caused by the refractory particles or powder after pouring the molten metal can be prevented.
