摘要： 1281782 Thermal regenerators KUREHA KAGAKU KOGYO KK 25 Feb 1970 9080/70 Headings F4H and F4K To reduce the temperature fluctuations of the continuous heated fluid output from a plurality of cyclically operated regenerative heat exchangers 1, 2 each containing heat accumulating material 1a, 2a, the output is passed through a temperature equalizing device 3 containing heat accumulating material 3a. As shown the fluid to be heated is air which isselectivelysupplied from a pipe 4 to one or other of the exchangers through valves 5, 6 and heated air leaves by way of valves 7, 8. Air and fuel are selectively supplied through valves 9, 11, 10, 12 to burners in the regenerative exchangers to cyclically heat the heat accumulating material 1a and 2a. The regenerators can be used to heat a liquid or a vapour instead of air. Alternatively the regenerators may be used for cooling a fluid, the burners being replaced by cooling sources.

摘要： Acetylene-containing gases obtained from the pyrolysis of hydrocarbons are purified to remove C3 and higher unsaturated hydrocarbons by contact with an organic solvent immiscible and unreactive with sulphuric acid and the resultant solution of unsaturated hydrocarbons in the solvent is contacted with sulphuric acid to remove C3 and higher materials and the solvent recycled to the acetylene purification step. The pyrolysis gas is first washed with heavy oil and carbon dioxide may be removed with ethanolamine and water by freeze drying or by washing with methanol. The gas is countercurrently contacted with the solvent, preferably under normal conditions; suitable solvents are hexane, heptane, octane, nonane, decane, cyclohexane, decahydronaphthalene, petroleum naphtha freed of unsaturates, kerosene, nitromethane, nitroethane, nitropropane, ethylene dichloride, ethylidene dichloride, trichloroethane, carbon tetrachloride, dihexyl ether, dioctyl ether, and carbon disulphide. Thereafter the solvent is purified for reuse, without removing dissolved acetylene, by countercurrent contact with 40-95% sulphuric acid which may contain a dehydrating agent, e.g. sodium sulphate or phosphorus pentoxide, a reaction accelerator, e.g. aluminium sulphate or potassium bichromate, or a specific gravity increasing agent, e.g. sodium or potassium sulphate.
