    • PURPOSE:To set the deburring quantity automatically and dispense with the adjustment of pressing force despite the material change of plates by setting the pressing force of a deburring knife on the basis of the information of a storage device, and controlling a pressing driving means so as to obtain the set pressing force. CONSTITUTION:The cutting edge 3 of a knife 1 is brought into contact with or separated from strip material 4 through a piston by supplying/discharging air to/from a cylinder 10 so as to remove a burr 5. In this case, the air supply port 11 and air supply-discharge port 10b of the cylinder 10 are connected to air supply source respectively through a solenoid change-over valve 21 and a pressure reducing valve 23 so as to form a pressing driving means. An automatic pressure regulator 26 for regulating air pressure is interposed between the solenoid change-over valve 21 and the pressure reducing valve 23. The automatic pressure regulator 26 is connected to a control device 28, and the control device 28 is connected to a storage device 29. The storage device 29 is made to store the material quality of the strip material 4 and the depth-of-cut quantity of the knife 1, and the control device 28 controls the automatic pressure regulator 26 on the basis of the stored data.

    • PURPOSE: To produce efficiently a spiral steel pipe with a no trimming method by performing a chamfering and facing with applying a roll rolling reduction against both edge parts of a charging steel late at the inlet side of a pipe making machine and by performing the pipe making thereafter.
      CONSTITUTION: A steel plate 1 is subjected to the working to make the edge face vertical by rolling reduction rolls 3, 3 and then the edge preparation is performed at the prescribed beveling angle by rolling reduction rolls 4, 4, thereafter it is formed and welded to a spiral steel pipe 2. The size of the beveling varies according to the plate thickness but is adequately adjusted by the rolling reduction force of a rolling reduction cylinder 5. Because of the steel plate 1 being no trimmed there is a variation in the plate width, but the the rolling reduction cylinder 5 follows properly the displacement of the edge position due to the plate width variation, the edge formation by the roll rolling reduction is enabled irrespective of the plate width variation and the beveling shape of vertical edge end face and sufficient accuracy is obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the chattering of a warpage correcting roll by providing a means for controlling the rotational driving mechanism of the roll, etc., so that the driving system of the roll can be automatically switched according to operating conditions. CONSTITUTION:This roll driving device 10 in a molten metal metal bath is formed of the roll 20 for correcting the warpage of a steel strip 2, the rotational driving mechanism 14 for rotating this roll, a mechanism for pushing the roll 20 to the steel strip 2, a condition recognizing means, a rotating force disconnecting mechanism 16, and a control means 25. The above-mentioned conditions consist of the thickness, width and tension of the steel strip and the pushing quantity of the roll 20. The above-mentioned disconnecting mechanism 16 is provided in the transmission route from the above-mentioned rotational driving mechanism 14 to the roll 20 and disconnects the rotating force to be transmitted to the roll 20. Further, the above-mentioned control means 25 controls the above-mentioned rotational driving mechanism 14 and disconnecting mechanism 16 according to the above-mentioned conditions. The pushing quantity of the roll 20 is decreased or increased and the rotating speed of the roll 20 is increased or decreased according to the steel strip 2 which is thin or thick.
