摘要： PURPOSE:To make stainless steel usable for a material of a heat transmitting pipe and to prevent the heat transmitting pipe from damage due to thermal fatigue by recirculating water to a degree not generating dry patch and increasing the amt. of water per unit breadth of the inside surface of tue pipe. CONSTITUTION:Water or a kind of liquid consisting essentially of water is allowed to flow down forming a wetted wall on a vertical wall 304 heated by a heating medium 302, and gas 301 flowing in contact with the wall is humidified. In this apparatus, an amt. of water more than the amt. of water to be evaporated liquid at the outlet of the wetted wall is recirculated to a liquid feeding sectuon 305 by a recirculating means 310. The flow rate is regulated to satisfy an inequality: Heat flux q T [q is heat flux W/m K (W is watt; K is Kelvin); T is mass flow rate (kg/ms) per unit breadth of the wetted wall]. As the result, there is no fear for causing stress corrosion cracking since no dry patch is generated; thus, stainless steel is usable for the material of a heat transmitting pipe, and damage of the heat transmitting pipe due to thermal fatigue is also prevented.

摘要： The present invention relates to a reaction vessel which is used to carry out an exothermic reaction of a mixed gas consisting of a plurality of elements in the presence of a solid catalyst. In a conventional reaction vessel of this type, it is difficult to maintain an optimum temperature of the exothermic reaction, and its economy is poor. The present invention is directed to the reaction vessel in which central pipes are disposed in a plurality of reaction pipes and circular spaces between these pipes are packed with a catalyst, whereby an unreacted feed gas can be caused to flow upward from lower positions of the central pipes and can be then mixed with another unreacted feed gas having a lower temperature, and the resultant mixed gas can be caused to flow through the catalyst layers downward from above. The present invention permits accomplishing the exothermic reaction while maintaining the optimum temperature by virtue of the above-mentioned constitution, and is ecomonical. The present invention can be applied to reaction vessels by which the exothermic reaction is carried out for the mixed gas consisting of a plurality of elements, as in the synthesis of methanol.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve methanol synthetic power by providing two lines of branch tubes leading mixed gas into a space divided with an upper end plate and an upper tube sheet of reactor and installing a heat exchanger to heat up mixed gas on one of the lines. CONSTITUTION:Modified gas is mixed with discharged gas composed of the recycled gas taken out of a gas outlet nozzle 9 of a reactor 1 and heated up by a compressor K2, and fed into the reactor 1. The gas reaching the point M is operated by closing FCV-2 and FCV-3, or in other words, by making the flow rate zero and opening FCV-1, during the normal stationary operation. That is, the total gas volume is fed from the lower section of the reactor 1 into a space A rising up inside a plurality of internal tubes 14. When catalyst activity is large or CO/H2 is large, the opening degree of FCV-2 is so adjusted as to flow a proper flow of unreacted gas of the temperature at the point M from an upper section gas inlet nozzle 10 into an upper section space B through a tube system.

In the process, an apparatus 1 for producing the above-mentioned makeup water, having a feeding means 5 for the afore-mentioned waste waster and a feeding means 6 for air and filled with packings, preferably a catalyst material 2 for decomposing formic acid therein is used to oxidatively decompose and remove strong corrosive formic acid present in the above-mentioned waste water as a product of side reaction of methanol synthesis with oxygen in in expensive air. Thereby corrosion of humidifier constituent materials by the formic acid in the afore-mentioned waste water is reduced.

摘要： PURPOSE:To increase humidifying efficiency as compared with the conventional humidifier having a wet wall tower only by a method wherein the device is constituted of the combination of a loading tower and the wet wall tower heated by a heating medium from the outside of a tube. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted of the loading tower 17 and the wet wall tower 19 heated by heating medium 3 from the outside of the tube. Sprayed liquid 5 in the tower 17 flows down along the surface of loaded material 18 under forming liquid film while gas 1 to be humidified, supplied from an inlet port 6, flows under contacting the liquid film directly. The humidify of the gas 1 is not arrived at the saturated humidify at the supplying temperature thereof, therefore, the liquid evaporates into the gas to be humidified from the surface of the liquid film. The gas 1 is brought into a condition near the saturated humidity thereof in the tower 17 and the saturated condition is maintained by heating it in the wet wall tower 19 under heating it by the heating medium 3 through heat transfer tubes 4, thus, the content of vapor of the liquid in the gas to be humidified may be increased. According to this method, the humidifying efficiency may be increased compared as with the conventional humidifier having the wet wall tower only.
