    • PURPOSE:To shorten the time to start a boiler and respond rapidly and safely to an independent load operation in a power station and attempt to save energy by drawing the steam or drain water from a boiler main steam system, supplying the steam or drain water to a reheating device and then supplying the steam or drain water to a separately installed turbine at the time of starting the boiler and during its operation under an independent load. CONSTITUTION:At the time of starting a boiler and during its operation under an independent load, a control valve 15a is opened and the steam or drain water from a primary superheater 1 is led to a reheating device 8 via a pipe 15 connecting the superheater and reheating device and the steam or drain water is flowed to the reheating pipe. At the same time a control valve 16 is opened and the steam or drain water that is out of the reheating device 8 is supplied to a separately installed turbine 18 via a pipe passage 17 for rotating the separately installed turbine 18 and a generator 19 to generate electricity. With this arrangement when the reheating device pipe is cooled, the limitation of fuel supply to the boiler which is required for keeping the pipe metal temperature below the limit temperature of use can be removed, and it is possible to attempt to shorten the time of starting and enlarge the usefulness for independent operation. Further, because the steam that is generated at this time is utilized for generating electricity, it is possible to recover the thermal energy which is discarded so far.

    • PURPOSE: To relax the thermal stress generated in an attemperator to avoid shortening its life by providing a press water circulation pipe for circulating a press water from the upstream of a spray water control valve to the upstream of a boiler feed water at a boiler for controlling the vapor temp. through the press water. CONSTITUTION: A reheater press water pipe 21 is branched from a boiler feed water pump 6, a reheater spray water control valve 22 is inserted in a reheater attemperator 16, and a reheater spray water circulation pipe 23a branched from a position near the upstream of the reheater spray water control valve 22 and connected to a deaerator 5 is provided. The spray water throw to the reheater attemperator 16 is intermittently made. When the spray water circulation pipe 23a is closed, the spray water flows from the reheater spray water pipe 21 to the spray water circulation pipe 23a and hence the hot spray water is normally flowing in the reheater spray water pipe 21. When the reheater spray water control valve 22 is opened, the hot spray water is thrown. Accordingly a thermal stress generated at a reheater spray water pipe header 25 of the reheater attemperator 16 or reheater spray water nozzle 26 is relaxed.

    • PURPOSE:To maintain performance of low O2 and low NOx operation and to provide an increased life for an inner nozzle through prevention of breakage of a nozzle corner part, by a method wherein a burner nozzle is formed with a square frame body-shaped outer nozzle and a grid-shaped inner nozzle, and cooling fins are attached to the inner side of the outer nozzle. CONSTITUTION:A burner nozzle is formed with a square frame body-shaped outer nozzle 11 and a grid-shaped inner nozzle (screen) 12, and the outer nozzle 11 is securely welded to the surrounding of a nozzle partition 13. Meanwhile, the inner nozzle 12 is securely welded to a nozzle partition 13 through the medium of a pair of support plates 14a and 14b. A number of cooling fins 15 are attached to the inner side of the inner nozzle 11, and simultaneously work as a flow-straightening plate. This relieves production of thermal stress of a nozzle corner part due to a metal temperature difference between the outer nozzle 11 and the inner nozzle 12 completely without exercising the influence on performance of low O2 and low NOx operation. Thus, replacement to burning loss takes place in relation to only the outer nozzle 11.

    • PURPOSE:To considerably reduce NOx without use of other fuel than coal by a method wherein coal is separated into coarse and fine particles, coarse particles are fed into a furnace through a main burner and fine particles are fed through an upper burner. CONSTITUTION:Pulverized coal crushed by coal pulverizers 7 is pneumatically conveyed to cyclones 12 through pulverized coal pipes 8. The air used for pneumatic conveyers is heated up to 300-350 deg.C. In the cyclones 12, the pulverized coal is separated into coarse and fine particles by centrifugal force. The ultra- fine coal separated is sent to an upper burner 4 through an ultra-fine coal pipe 14 together with volatile matters, steam and hot-air. On the other hand, the coarse particle coal which is left in the cyclones 12 is sent to a main burner 3 through coarse particle coal pipes 13 together with hot-air and steam, and fed into a furnace 2 together with combustion air (secondary air) to be burnt. As the zone around the upper burner 4 is an reducing atmosphere and the exhaust gas has an adequate temperature, NOx generated in the zone around the main burner 3 is reduced and considerably diminished. Unburnt carbon components are completely burnt by supplying air from an additional air nozzle 5.

    • PURPOSE:To improve a removing effect of ammonium sulfate and improve an efficiency of thermal conduction by a method wherein such a temperature area as causing acid ammonium sulfate to be adhered thereto is selected be tween the intermediate and low temperature thermal conduction elements, a double blowing soot blower is arranged and a seal plate is arranged between the element and the rotor housing. CONSTITUTION:When it is desired to determine a height of a thermal conduction element, an acid ammonium sulfate adhering temperature area is arranged between the intermediate thermal conduction element 2 and the low temperature thermal conduction element 1, and the acid ammonium sulfate is selectively adhered to the end part of each of the thermal conduction element and an amount of adhered acid ammonium sulfate other the end part of the thermal conduction element is reduced. This selectively adhered acid ammonium sulfate is concentrically and efficiently removed by the double blowing soot blower 6. A seal plate 7 is fixed to a clearance part between the thermal conduction element and the rotor housing 9 to cause the gas to pass through the thermal conduction element and to improve an efficiency of the thermal conduction.
