    • PURPOSE:To decrease the capacity of a liquid tank and to decrease damages of a strip by passing the strip in the liquid tank having a U-shaped section, sucking the liquid in the liquid tank by a pump from the outer side of the strip, ejecting the liquid to the inner side and supporting the strip afloat in the liquid tank. CONSTITUTION:The tank for the strip for galvanizing is made of a molten zinc tank 2 having the approximately U-shaped section. The strip 1 is put into the tank from one top end port and the hot dip galvanizing strip 1 is taken out of the other top end port. Perforated plates 7, 9 are provided on both sides of the passage for the strip 1 in the bottom of the above-mentioned molten zinc tank 2 to form closed spaces 8, 10. A molten zinc liquid 3 is sucked via the closed space 8 from a pipe 4 connected to the rear surface of the molten zinc tank 2 and after inclusions are removed by a filter 14, the liquid is boosted by a pump 5 and is ejected from a pipe 6 into the closed space 10 on the inner side. The size of the molten zinc tank 2 is reduced in this way and the amt. of the molten zinc liquid 3 to be used is decreased; in addition, the above- mentioned strip 1 is passed afloat in the molten zinc tank 2 without using a sink roll.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a device in which dividable weight blocks or buoyancy bodies are positioned in the middle of a mooring line, and adapted to arbitrary hold the line from both sides, and an intermediate sinker and buoy are removably attached in an arbitrary position without cutting the line or the use of a coupling tool. CONSTITUTION:Dividable weight blocks or buoyancy bodies 8 and 8' are attached to the middle of a mooring line, formed by chains 2 or the like, and adapted to arbitrarily hold the line from both sides. The two blocks or buoyance bodies 8 and 8' are so constituted as to allow installation and removal of them by means of bolts and nuts, grooves 13 in which the chains 2 are securely placed are formed therein, and recess parts 14 are provided at both ends thereof, and the grooves and the recess parts are filled with an elastic material 9 to prevent concentration of stress. This enables an intermediate sinker and buoy to be removably attached to arbitrary position without cutting the mooring line or the use of a coupling tool such as shackles.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the apparatus having a good linear characteristic, by providing a wave making plate so as to cover the entire water surface in a compartment formed by surrounding walls so that a part of the water surface of the water tank is partitioed, and moving said wave making plate up and down. CONSTITUTION:At the end part of the water tank 1, the surrounding walls 1a- 1d are provided so that a part of the water surface in the tank is partitioned, and the compartment 10 in a rectangular parallelepiped shape is formed. A water path 7 in a gradually widening shape is formed under the compartment 10. The wave making plate 4 is coupled into the compartment 10 so as to cover the entire water surface in the inside. A packing on the peripheral surface of the wave making plate 4 is slidden along a steel plate 6 attached to the inner wall surfaces 1a-1d. The wave making plate 4 is connected to a piston rod of a hydraulic cylinder 3 and moved up and down by the cylinder 3.
