    • A scroll compressor comprising a stationary scroll and a revolving scroll, the stationary and revolving scrolls having end plates with a level difference therebetween such that the height increases along the convolutions of the wall toward the center and decreases toward the outer peripheral end, the upper edge of the wall being of stepped shape corresponding to the level difference between the end plates, wherein a clearance is formed between the upper edge of the wall and each end plate and the height of the clearance is greater at the room temperature than during operation. Further, the level difference is provided at a position beyond a traveling angle π (rad) from the outer peripheral end along the direction of convolutions. Further, the end plate of the stationary scroll is formed with a recess, in which a delivery valve is installed.
