    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a radio communication terminal, which has a long operable time of a battery capacity by monitoring the battery capacity and switching to a 1st operation mode that reduces power consumption of a battery, when the battery capacity becomes a 1st reference value or less. SOLUTION: A controlling part 11 inputs a voltage signal of a battery 10 from a battery capacity monitoring part 9, which always monitors a capacity of the battery 10 and compares the voltage signal with a 1st reference voltage. When the voltage signal is the 1st reference voltage or less, it makes a call out to a center device and notifies a telegraphic message to the effect that the battery capacity drops. After that, it switches to such a power saving mode (1st operation mode) as to reduce the power consumption of the battery 10. For instance, a power supply changeover switch 20 is controlled in a fixed cycle (prescribed interval) by start from a clock 21, and the supply/stop of a power source to a sending and receiving part 18 and a TDMA processing part 25 is controlled. Then, it is possible to obtain a radio communication terminal, which has long operable time of the battery capacity.

    • PURPOSE:To install a display device in a house without making a new hole to a wall of housing by devising a system such that an existing antenna cable is utilized for a communication line between a terminal equipment and the display device. CONSTITUTION:A terminal equipment 5 installed outdoor has MODEMs 1, 2 at the input and output of a processing circuit section 3. The input MODEM 2 receives and demodulates sent modulated information. On the other hand, the output MODEM 1 converts the information decoded and processed by the processing circuit section 3 into a signal injected to an idle channel of a television system. Moreover, the terminal equipment 5 is incorporated with a distributer which connects an antenna cable 7 from an antenna 6 and a cable from the said output MODEM 1. A distributer 11 distributing and connecting the antenna cable 7 to a display device 9 and a television receiver 10 is provided indoor.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the service life of a battery in a radio meter-reading device such as a PHS(R) terminal. SOLUTION: A required current consumption is made different for each of operating modes such as sleep mode, standby mode and meter-reading data transmitting mode of the PHS(R) terminal, this current consumption is detected by a CPU 6 as an output current 1 of a power unit 18 and corresponding to the detected output current 1, switches 7 and 4 are changed over. In the sleep mode or standby mode, the output current 1 is reduced and the first battery of small capacity of 3.6 V is used by turning on the switch 7. In the meter- reading data transmitting mode of great current consumption, the second battery of large capacity of 3 V is used by turning on the switch 4 and 3.6 V is always outputted by a switching regulator 5 regardless of the voltage drop of this battery. A voltage regulator 10 outputs the output voltage of 3 V at all the time. By selectively using batteries like this, the service life of the batteries is prolonged.

    • PURPOSE:To increase the screen of a liquid crystal display without being limited by a size that ensures portability by making the lateral width of a display part greater than that of an operational part, positioning the operational part at the end of the display part and integrally forming them in the shape of a letter L. CONSTITUTION:This device is composed of the display part 5A possessing the liquid crystal display 2 and the operational part 5B possessing an operational switch 3 operating contents displayed on the liquid crystal display, and is generally formed in the shape of a letter L. The lateral width of the display part 5A is far greater than that of the operational part 5B, and the screen of the liquid crystal display 2 is set to a required size. The operational part 5B is formed in the lateral width that ensures portability, and is positioned at the left end of the display part 5A; the parts 5A and 5B are integrally formed. Consequently, the screen of the liquid crystal display is set to a required size without being limited by portability.
