    • A corner part of a chassis (1) is constituted of independent side plate parts (2, 2). A corner part reinforcing device comprises a reinforcing base part (5) which is fixedly engaged with the side plate parts (2, 2) and reinforces the corner part and a damper part (6) which is integrally formed with the reinforcing base part (5) and absorbs the vibration of a disc reproduction unit (4). With this construction, the corner part of the chassis (1) produced with a progressive die can be reinforced easily by the reinforcing base part (5). Further, by fixing the reinforcing base part (5) to the chassis (1), the damper part (6) can be provided at the same time, so that the assembly workability can be improved significantly, the number of components can be reduced greatly and the cost reduction can be realized.

    • A disk supporting device which supports a disk that serves as such a recording medium as the optical disk device or magneto-optical disk device.     • A CD carrying mechanism for carrying in and removing a CD (disc) using a carrying roller (11) and a clamp lever turning mechanism for retracting a clamp lever (17) from an initial position and returning it to the initial position are operated by a drive force of a CD loading drive motor.
