摘要： An ultrasonic system for the recanalization of body vessels includes an ultrasonic transducer (3) adapted for in-situ insertion into body vessels, an ultrasonic power generator (1) as well as a highly insulated electrical cable (2) for conveying electrical power generated by said generator (1) towards said transducer (3) located in-situ into a body vessel. The ultrasonic transducer (3) is adapted for coupling to a catheter for guiding at the site of the occlusion in the vessel. Echoes from the occlusion are monitored, thereby permitting localisation of the transducer (3) in the body vessel.

摘要： In an apparatus for performing the coronary transluminal angioplasty, a tubular body (2) is housed in a shell (1) and has a disposable syringe (7) removably fixed thereto. A balloon catheter (8a) is connected to the syringe (7). A slide (20) runs axially inside the tubular body (2) and has a sleeve (17) fastened to it for pushing onto the plunger (18) of the syringe (7) so as to force inflation liquid into the catheter (8a). A threaded rod (11), that runs through the sleeve (17) and engages with a threaded section (20a) of the slide (20), is rotated by an electric motor (9) through a drive link (10) and pushes, with the opposite end onto a saddle (24) that in turn pushes onto a load sensing cell (31), while a counter device detects the number of rouds of the threaded rod (11) for metering the liquid forced into the catheter.

摘要： The angioplasty catheter described is of the so-called "zero-profile" type and includes a first tubular element (10) extending within a second, coaxial tubular element (11) with which it defines a space (12), the second tubular element (11) including, without breaks in its continuity, a portion (13) made of a first, substantially rigid plastics material of predetermined elastic modulus and at least one second portion (14) made of a second, resiliently deformable plastics material which has an elastic modulus lower than that of the first plastics material and which can be joined chemically thereto. The space (12) is closed in correspondence with one end of the second portion (14) of the second tubular element (11) so that the latter can be expanded by the admission thereto of a suitable fluid under pressure.
