    • PURPOSE:To make the inner district of a harbor where the mouth of a river is formed a calm area, and enable turbid water including sediment which flows out of the river to the inside of the harbor to be discharged out of the inside of the harbor to the outside of the harbor. CONSTITUTION:Each turbid water passage caisson 10 is arranged in a sea district 40 opposite to the river mouth 42a of a river 42. A first opening 22 is formed in an inner surface 12 faced to the inside 44 of a harbor partitioned by the caissons 10, and a second opening 24 is formed in an outer surface 14 faced to the outside 46 of the harbor, so that a turbid water passage hole 20 connecting both the openings to each other is provided. The first opening 22 is formed at a place higher than the second opening 24, turbid water flowing in the harbor 14 is discharged out outside the harbor through the turbid water passage hole 20 as water level in the vicinity of the outer surface 14 fluctuates due to the movement of waves outside the harbor 46. The passage effect of turbid water is accelerated by letting waves reflected downward by a wave reflecting surface 18 flow in the turbid water passage hole 20 through a wave inflow port 30.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance functions for wave dissipation as well as for wave breaking by a method wherein first vertical wave-dissipating plates that dissipate, with dissipation holes, the waves on the outside of a bay and second vertical wave-dissipating plates that dissipate, with dissipation holes, the waves on the inside of the bay and vertical wave-breaking plates that break the waves arising from the inside and the outside of the bay are provided. CONSTITUTION:A first vertical wave-dissipating plate 24, equipped with a number of wave dissipation holes 36, a second vertical wave-dissipating plate 26, equipped with a number of wave dissipation holes 38, and a vertical wave-breaking plate 28 are connected with a plurality of cross beams 30, and are made integral to form a block body 22. Foundation piles 33 are driven in advance into specified positions on the seabed. The block bodies 22 are placed, with foundation guide rods 34 placed over the foundation piles, and are connected in the breadthwise direction, and a specified area in the sea is surrounded therewith to form a bay. Waves coming in from the open sea are dissipated with the wave-dissipating plates 24, and track waves produced in the bay are dissipared with the wave-dissipating plates 26 and, at the same time, the waves arising from the inside and the outside of the bay are broken with the wave-breaking plates 28. Thereby, it becomes possible to ensure calmness in the bay.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb waves and secure a calm zone in a certain area in the inside or the outside of a harbor, by forming an opening to allow seawater to pass through it to the inside or the outside thereof and providing a framework structure provided with pileinsertion holes, piles inserted in the holes to fix the framework structure on the ground of the water bottom, and a plurality of wave-absorbing blocks charged in the framework structure. SOLUTION: This wave-absorbing unit 10 is formed of steel or concrete foundation piles 12 to fix a framework structure and the framework structure 40 constituted of columns 42 provided with insertion holes to insert the foundation piles 12 and beams 44a, 44b, 46a, 46b connecting the columns 42. The framework structure 40 is provided with a mounting part 60 horizontally constructed at the level near the submarine ground 64 and a plurality of wave-absorbing blocks 50 are put therein And further, the beams 46 of the framework structure 40 are arranged at every certain distance and a plurality of wave-absorbing slits 22 are formed at the front and rear faces to form a vertical wave-absorbing wall. And hence, a wave-absorbing function can be obtained and a certain zone of both inside and outside of the harbor as a calm area can be secured.
