摘要： 15,897. Meurisse, P. Aug. 17, 1904, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Water-tube and multitubular boilers.-A boiler consists of a transverse steam and water drum a, opening at the side and bottom into water casings f, e, which communicate through curved watertubes g, also through tubes h forming part of the grate and vertical tubes j. The drum is traversed by fire-tubes d expanded into inclined flattened parts, as shown. The tubes g are perforated on their undersides at the ends entering the casing e, and around their whole circumference at their other ends. The tubes h are placed alternately with the bars k of the grate. A baffle n placed in the drum compels the escaping steam to pass around the tubes d and thus superheats it. Furnace baffles m, are provided, the latter being placed between the lower set of curved tubes. Doors t, s for inspecting the tubes are formed in the outer casing.
