摘要： The invention relates to a method and an apparatus in the surface sizing of a paper or board web. In the method according to the invention, surface size, such as a starch solution, is applied by means of an applicator device (1) to at least one side of the web (W) to be surface sized, and in which surface sizing is performed per one side of said web (W) in one or more stages. In connection with the application of surface size, a pressure effect is applied to the web (W) by subjecting the web (W) to an underpressure and/or to an overpressure such that, by means of said pressure effect, surface size is forced to penetrate into the web (W) into the pores of the web. Most advantageously, in the pores of the web (W) an underpressure is created that sucks surface size applied to the surface of the web from the surface of the web (W) into the pores in the inner layers. In that connection, surface size is applied to a first side (W1) of the web and a vacuum effect is applied to the opposite side, i.e. a second side (W2), of the web (W) to cause air to flow through the web (W) such that surface size moves from the first side (WI) of the web in the direction of the second side (W2) of the web into the web (W). In a corresponding manner, both sides of the web (W) can be treated in successive stages.

摘要： The invention concerns a method in a paper or board machine drying line after the wire section, wherein the web (W) is processed, during the dewatering of which the web’s (W) width is affected in a direction crosswise to the web’s (W) travelling direction. In the method, starting from an edge a force effect of a desired magnitude is directed all the way to a desired arbitrary crosswise position of the web (W) in the cross machine direction in order to modify the web’s (W) characteristics by at least one device (20A; 20B) bringing about the force effect. The invention also concerns a device in a paper or board machine line after the wire section, which device comprises means for processing the web and for dewatering. The paper or board machine line after the wire section further comprises at least one device (20A; 20B) for directing a force effect at a desired partial area (WS) of the web (W) in the cross machine direction in order to modify the web’s characteristics profile in the cross machine direction.

摘要： The invention relates to a processing device and a method applying the same for processing a coated or uncoated fibrous web. The device comprises a belt (2) adapted to extend around a guiding element (3), at least one counter-element (5) being disposed outside said belt to provide a contact area with the belt, such that the belt (2) and the counter-element (5) establish therebetween a web processing zone for passing a web to be processed therethrough. The processing zone length is defined by means of the disposition of the belt's (2) guiding element (3) and/or by means of the design of the counter-elements (5). A contact pressure applied to a web in the processing zone is adapted to be adjustable within the range of about 0.01 MPa to about 70 MPa. The invention further relates to a safety paper, a method for producing said paper and a calender for making said paper, where the web is left with areas of desired shape uncalendered or less calendered.

摘要： The invention relates to a processing device and a method applying the same for processing a coated or uncoated fibrous web. The device comprises a belt (2) adapted to extend around a guiding element (3), at least one counter-element (5) being disposed outside said belt to provide a contact area with the belt, such that the belt (2) and the counter-element (5) establish therebetween a web processing zone for passing a web to be processed therethrough. The processing zone length is defined by means of the disposition of the belt's (2) guiding element (3) and/or by means of the design of the counter-elements (5). The contact pressure applied to a web in the processing zone is adapted to be adjustable within the range of about 0.01 MPa to about 200 MPa. The invention further relates to a method for switching paper, board or tissue from one grade to another, where the adjustment of the temperature applied to the web is essentially performed only by means of the adjustment of the metal belt temperature, a mechanism for the adjustment of a belt-tension inflicted compression force, a device for controlling and profiling the lateral tension and/or temperature of the belt, a processing device where the metal belt loop os adpated to run in an enclosed or isolated space and a processing device where the position of the belt in lateral direction is adjusted.

摘要： The invention relates to a device for guiding a moving fabric or web in a paper or board machine in which the fabric (3) or the web is passed over an alignment roll (1).
