The carrier includes a first sleeve bearing assembly (19) having a first shaft (22) and a first sleeve bearing (24) coupled with the first shaft. The carrier includes a second sleeve bearing assembly (26) having a second shaft (30) associated with the first sleeve bearing such that the first sleeve bearing permits guided movement of the second shaft, and a second sleeve bearing (28) coupled with the second shaft and associated with the first shaft such that the second sleeve bearing and second shaft can move in a guided manner with respect to the first shaft.

    • A fuel delivery system includes a fuel tank (27) having at least a main chamber (33). A reservoir (40) is disposed in the main chamber. A fuel pump (29) and venturi jet structure (24) are provided in the reservoir. The venturi jet structure includes a jet inlet (26) having a nozzle (13) for receiving fuel from the fuel pump. A fuel inlet tube structure (28) has a first end (41) associated with the nozzle and a second end (43) extending into a portion of the fuel tank. A mixing tube (30) is in communication with, and downstream of, the jet inlet and the fuel inlet tube structure. An outlet (32) is in communication with, and downstream of, the mixing tube. A length of the fuel inlet tube structure is greater than a length of the outlet, and the mixing tube is mounted so that an axis thereof is generally horizontal + 39.90 degrees with respect to the bottom surface (35) of the reservoir.

    • A method provides a tube for a fuel delivery module. The tube (16) is preferably constructed and arranged to be fluidly coupled between a fuel filter and a fuel pump of the module. The method includes molding a hollow tube (16) including a first portion (18) and a second portion (24) integral with the first portion. Each of the first and second portions has an opened end (20, 26), with the opened ends communicating with each other. Each opened end has axis (A, B). The axis (B) of the opened end of the second portion is generally transverse with respect to the axis (A) of the opened end of the first portion. The method further includes pre-forming the tube such that the axis (B) of the opened end of the second portion is generally parallel with respect to the axis (A) of the opened end of the first portion, with the opened ends facing the same direction.

    • A method provides wiring associated with a flange of a fuel delivery module for use in a fuel tank of a vehicle. The method includes molding a plastic flange (12) of a fuel delivery module, with the flange defining an inside region (11) and an outside region (7). At least one terminal (20') is provided that is accessible from the outside region of the flange. An electrical connection (28) is established between the at least one terminal and a wire (16'). In one embodiment, plastic material (25) is molded directly over a) the connection (28), b) at least a portion (32) of the wire (16') and c) at least a portion (34) of the terminal (20') to seal the connection, the portion of the wire, and the portion of the terminal between the inside region and outside region of the flange. In another embodiment a pre-formed plastic body encapsulates the connection (28) and the body is placed in a flange mold and plastic material is over molded to encapsulate the portion of the terminal while molding the flange.
