    • To compensate for roll-off while estimating a communication channel, an estimate of the channel is provided using a signal transmitted via the communication channel. The pilot tones positioned along the edges of the estimated channel are divided by the corresponding pilot tones of the received signal to generate a first number of ratios. An algorithm is thereafter applied to the first number of ratios to generate a second number of ratios associated with the non-pilot tones positioned along the edges of the estimated channel. Next, numbers that are inverse of the first and second number of ratios are applied to the pilot and non-pilot tones positioned along the edges of the estimated channel to compensate for the roll-offs in the estimated channel.

    • Disclosed is an oxidation reactor for manufacturing terephthalic acid (CTA). In particular, in connection with manufacturing CTA by oxidizing para-xylene in the presence of air containing oxygen and acetic acid solvent, the present invention relates to location relationship among a gas reactant feeding location to feed air containing oxygen, a liquid reactant feeding location to feed para-xylene and a location of an impeller, and also relates to a new oxidation reactor, a structure of which is changed. The oxidation reactor of the present invention controls location relationship among a gas reactant feeding location, a liquid reactant feeding location and a location of an impeller in consideration of a flowing pattern of gas reactant and liquid reactant and a distribution of formed CTA, thereby performing a reaction without a dead zone in the reactor, thus manufacturing CTA in a higher forming rate than before.

    • The present invention relates to a diamond tool of a polishing apparatus, which prevents an object from partially wearing by bringing an entire surface of the diamond tool into contact with the object at a constant pressure and causes a quality of a surface of the object to be improved by polishing the object with a constant force when polishing the object. An object of the present invention is to provide a diamond tool, wherein a target object can be uniformly polished by providing an elastic member for elastically urging the diamond tool to the object at uniform pressure so as to bring the diamond tool and the object into contact with each other throughout entire contact surfaces thereof, the surface of the object can also be uniformly and rapidly polished since the object is prevented from partially wearing out, polishing quality of the object can be improved, and yield can be increased. According to the present invention for achieving the above objective, the diamond tool of a polishing apparatus comes into contact with an object and polishes a surface of the object. The diamond tool comprises a fastening member which is fastened to the polishing apparatus and in which a fastening groove is formed; shanks arranged on an upper side of the fastening member and comprising a plurality of pieces; whetstones bonded onto the shanks; and an elastic member which is installed between the fastening member and the shanks and applies pressure to the shanks elastically so that the whetstones comes into contact with the object.
