摘要： The optical head has a light beam which is emitted horizontally from a semiconductor laser chip (103) and is transmitted to a first polarisation-selective beamsplitter (108). A zero-order diffracted beam and two first-order beams are generated. The scattering angle is varied in a specified ratio by a hologram (106) in the path. The emerging beam is condensed (109) on the optical disc (110), with the beam returned to a detector baseplate (119) via a second polarisation-selective beamsplitter (116). A recording spot is obtained from an aberration-free spherical wave and phase correction is applied in reproduction.

摘要： In an optical pickup, light, emitted from a light-emitting element, is transmitted through a first beam splitter film with polarization selectivity, and a zero-order diffraction beam and two (+/-) first order diffraction beams are produced. These beams are applied in a condensed manner to an optical disk through a condensing element, and the return light beam from the optical disk is fed to a photodetector through a second beam splitter film with polarization selectivity, thereby effecting the recording and reproduction of information, the tracking and the focusing. A diffusion angle conversion hologram is provided between the light-emitting element and the first beam splitter film, and with respect to the diffusion angle conversion hologram, the relation between the diffusion angle of the incident beam and the diffusion angle of the outgoing beam is specified. With this arrangement, the light to be incident on the condensing element can have an ideal spherical wave free from a wave aberration, so that an image spot on the optical disk can be condensed into a diffraction limit, and besides by correcting the phase of the beam, a RF signal with a high C/N ratio, a stable focus error signal and a stable track signal are detected.

Phases of spherical waves incident on the light condensing means by the diffusion angle converting means are arranged in order, an image forming spot to the optical disk board 110 is converged up to a diffraction limit, further the diffusion angle is converted by an NA converting means, the dispersion of the beam splitter films and the incident angles to the polarization separating part is reduced, and an optical, phase difference is lessened.

摘要： PURPOSE: To form an imaging spot in the size converged down to the limit of diffraction and to facilitate recording and reproducing by converting the diffusion angle of projected light with an NA conversion hologram and irradiating an information recording surface with this light as ideal spherical wave light via a diffraction grating and a required beam splitter. CONSTITUTION: The laser beam from a semiconductor laser chip 103 is controlled in diffusion angle by the astigmatism hologram 24 of the NA conversion hologram and is made into the small diffusion angle luminous flux or parallel luminous fluxes. These luminous fluxes are made into the main beam light and side beam light of the zero order and ±first-order diffracted light by the diffraction grating 107. These beams are passed through a polarization beam splitter film 108 having polarized light selectability and are made into the ideal spherical wave light 115. This light is segmented down to the diffraction threshold by an objective lens 109 and the ideal small light imaging spot is imaged onto the information recording surface 111. As the result, the need for a half- wave plate, etc., for converting the plane of polarization is eliminated. The optical pickup with which recording and reproducing are easily and surely executed by a simple constitution is thus obtd.
