    • PURPOSE:To prevent the magnetic medium from occurrence of uneven wear on a sliding surface thereof and to reduce a cost by providing different sizes of core grooves on each shielding magnetic body at the upper side and the lower side and making a core groove width at the upper side slightly winder than a core width of the magnetic head core. CONSTITUTION:A shield plate 11 at the upper side and a shield plate 12 at the lower side 12 are combined with each of butting parts 11A, 12A so as to make the center of the width Y of the core groove 11a and the center of the width Z of the core groove 12a provided on each of them coincide. The magnetic head core 13 is inserted and fixed in the core window 14 consisting of two core grooves 11a, 12a formed in the above mentioned manner. The width being in contact with the medium in the core 13 is W and is designed so as to be slightly narrower than the width Y of the core groove 11a.

    • PURPOSE:To improve electromagnetic conversion characteristics by laminating soft magnetic material films having high magnetic permeability on the suspension mounting parts of the magnetic head formed in a laminated structure via soft magnetic metallic thin films or the soft magnetic metallic thin films and insulator thin films. CONSTITUTION:This magnetic head is provided with the soft magnetic metallic thin films 1, a nonmagnetic substrate 2, coil wires 3, magnetic cores 4, 5, a gap 6, glass 7 for joining and suspensions 8. The suspension mounting surfaces of the magnetic head having such laminated structure are provided with the soft magnetic films 9 which consist of 'Permalloy(R)', etc., worked to completely cover the soft magnetic metallic thin films 1 and have the high magnetic permeability and adhesives 10, such as thermosetting epoxy, for joining these films 9 with the magnetic head. The magnetic fields from the suspensions 8 concentrate to the soft magnetic films 9 having the high magnetic permeability in proximity thereto and the leak magnetic fields to the soft magnetic metallic thin films 1 forming the magnetic cores 4, 5 in the lower part decrease drastically even if the suspensions 8 are magnetized. Then, the floating type magnetic head having the excellent electromagnetic conversion characteristics and high reliability is obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To decrease a mutual magnetic interference and to keep the distortion of the reproducing output due to the crosstalk within an allowable range by making adjoining a first core and a second core through a shield plate. CONSTITUTION:At both side surfaces of a reproducing core 3, a reproducing side core body to fit side cores 5 and 6 through copper plates 7 and 8 is formed, a shielding plate 12 is sandwiched between a recording core 1 and a reproducing side core body and the plate 12, the core 1 and a reproducing side core body are stuck and temporarily fixed with an epoxy resin, etc., so that the gap facing surface of the core 1 and the reproducing side core body can be directed in the same direction. In a housing 14 direction, they are inserted to a notched part 14a and also in a housing 15 direction, the temporarily fixed materials are inserted to a notched part 15a. Next, housings 14 and 15 are arranged so that the gap facing surface of the recording core 1 and that of the reproducing side core body faced each other. Then, between gap facing surfaces, a beryllium copper plate, which is used as a gap filler, is sandwiched. Next, the housings 14 and 15 are fixed by screws 16 and 17, a bobbin 2 divided into two is fitted at the core 1 and on it, a coil is formed. The coiling direction of a coil coiled to two cores 1 is made into the different direction.
