摘要： Systems and methods for detecting data in a received multiple-input-multiple-output signal are provided. N signals are received front N respective antennas, where the received signals are associated with (i) M sets of data values, (ii) a set of symbols and (iii) a set of carrier frequencies. The N signals are formed into a received signal vector y, and one or more transformations are performed on the received signal vector y to obtain a transformed vector. A. plurality of samples are formed from the transformed vector. For samples of the plurality of samples, a data detection technique of a plurality of data detection techniques is selected. The selecting is based on at least one of a spatial stream, a symbol, and a carrier frequency associated with the given sample. The selected data detection, technique is used to detect data of the given sample.

摘要： In a method for generating a physical layer (PHY) data unit for transmission via a communication channel, information bits to be included in the PHY data unit are received. A number of padding bits are added to the information bits. The number of padding bits is determined based on respective virtual values of each of one or more encoding parameters. The information bits are parsed to a number of encoders and are encoded, using the number of encoders, to generate coded bits. The coded bits are padded such that padded coded bits correspond to respective true values of each of the one or more encoding parameters. The PHY data unit is generated to include the padded coded bits.

摘要： Some embodiments described herein provide a method for transmitting a preamble in accordance with a wireless local area network communication protocol. In some embodiments, a data frame may be obtained for transmission including a preamble compliant with the wireless local area network communication protocol. It may be determined that the preamble includes a first preamble portion that spans multiple symbol durations and a second preamble portion that spans a single symbol duration. The first preamble portion via beamforming may be transmitted based on a first beamforming matrix. When a transmission mode of the second preamble portion is beamforming, a second beamforming matrix may be generated based on the first beamforming matrix, each tone for the second preamble portion may be calculated based on the second beamforming matrix. Each calculated tone may be transmitted in accordance with the wireless local area network communication protocol.

摘要： In a method of generating an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol, a plurality of information bits is encoded to generate a plurality of coded bits. The plurality of information bits corresponds to a first bandwidth, while the OFDM symbol includes a number of data tones corresponding to a second bandwidth. The coded bits are mapped to a plurality constellation symbols. The constellation symbols are mapped to a first plurality of data subcarriers corresponding to a first portion of the OFDM symbol and to a second plurality of data subcarriers corresponding to a second portion of the OFDM symbol. A subset of data subcarriers in the first plurality of data subcarriers and in the second plurality of data subcarriers are set to one or more predetermined values. The OFDM symbol is then generated to include at least the first plurality of data subcarriers and the second plurality of data subcarriers.

A compressed form of the channel data is determined. For each of the one or more spatial or space time streams, a per-tone signal to noise ratio (PT-SNR) associated with one or more OFDM tone of the plurality of OFDM tones is determined, and an average signal to noise ratio (avg-SNR) is determined by averaging signal to noise ratio (SNR) values corresponding to one or more OFDM tones of the plurality of OFDM tones. A feedback report is generated to include at least i) the plurality of angle values corresponding to the one or more spatial or space-time streams and the one or more OFDM tones, ii) the PT-SNRs corresponding to the one or more spatial or space-time streams and the one or more OFDM tones, and iii) the avg-SNR corresponding to the one or more spatial or space-time streams. The feedback report is included in a data unit to be transmitted from the receiver to the transmitter.
