摘要： PURPOSE: To easily and accurately inspect a coin by applying a vibration electric signal when the coin moves along a coin passage, and sampling the vibration electric signal and detecting its peak amplitude. CONSTITUTION: Electric signal of low frequency and high frequency of oscillators 16 and 17 are supplied to a transmitting coil 14 through an adder 18 to produce a magnetic field crossing the coin passage 11. The magnetic field which is attenuated by the coin is received by a receiving coil 15, whose output is separated by a high-pass filter 21 and a low-pass filter 22 and supplied to a control amplifier 23. The gain of this control amplifier 23 is held constant when it is recognized that the coin is genuine. A precise rectifier 24 samples the peak of the output of the amplifier 23. This peak is compared by a momentary level variation comparator 32 with a specific value.

摘要： PURPOSE: To reduce the mean power consumption by starting a program only when the presence of a coin to be inspected is detected. CONSTITUTION: A detecting device 316 which starts supplying electric power enabling coin inspecting operation operates irrelevantly to whether an information signal from one of inductive interaction devices (HFI) indicates an accepted coin, and the power supply is substantially performed each time a coin passes along a coin path. Circuit parts 300-302, 315, and 316 which are individually powered up are included, and a controller 316 powers up the respective circuit parts in a period wherein the coin inspecting operation is needed and does not power up them in other period. Therefore, the stand-by power consumption is 0 or extremely low when a coin is expected to arrive, and the power consumption is held minimum even when a coin is in an inspection area.
