    • An aerosol capacity indicator that utilizes a novel and inexpensive display that can be installed in the actuator of an aerosol can to display the amount of product remaining therein. The novel accumulative pressure indicator display is imbedded in the actuator which is attached to the valve of an aerosol can and activated by pressure applied directly by the user in the form of finger contact with the actuator. The total amount of pressure applied to the indicator and transferred to the aerosol valve by means of direct user contact both intermittent and continuous renders a relevant reading equivalent to the amount of product released from the aerosol can without any contact with the actual dispensed material. Another embodiment of the invention utilizes the pressure of the actual aerosol product as it passes through the actuator making intermittent and continuous contact with the novel accumulative pressure indicator display imbedded in the flow path of the aerosol product in the actuator rendering an actual reading equivalent to the amount of product released from the aerosol can.

    • The disclosure relates to a device for storing and dispensing small articles such as fish hooks. The dispenser is formed of two oppositely disposed side portions or with a spaced opening therebetween. Each side portion has a flexible cushioned flat surface adjacent the spaced opening. The side portions are positioned against tie flexible cushioned flat surfaces to create a means for entrapping objects between the closed surfaces of the side portions when a force is used to hold one side portion against the other. The articles may be trapped completely inside the perimeter of the closed surfaces or partially trapped, allowing portions of the articles to extend just beyond the perimeter. The force holding the two side portions together is sufficient to hold the objects securely between the side portions also enabling articles extending beyond the periphery of the side portions to be removed individually with moderate force. The disclosure also relates to a dispenser having a peripheral groove or a plurality of peripheral slits to store and dispense small articles.

    • A display element that can be used in either an analog or a digital liquid crystal display device includes an electrically insulating substrate having a surface with a display region and at least one elongated connection region outside the display region. The one connection region includes a longitudinally extending digital connection section and a longitudinally extending analog connection section. Discrete display-generating electrically conductive electrodes are disposed in the display region of the substrate in spaced-apart relation in a predetermined pattern, and an equal number of electrically conductive connector strips are disposed on the substrate in both the analog and digital connection sections, each one of the connector strips being uniquely connected to a respective one of the display-generating electrodes, and all of the connector strips being formed with edges that extend only transversely to the longitudinal dimension of the connection region in the digital connection section, and selected pairs of adjacent connector strips being formed with portions that are aligned in the transverse direction of the connection region in the analog connection section such that a transverse line will intersect portions of both connector strips of each pair in the analog connection section. Conventional laminated elastomeric connector elements can be used to connect individual display-generating electrodes to separate outside circuits via the respective connector strips in the digital connection section to create a digital type of display or, alternatively, to connect the selected adjacent pairs of connector strips together to form a continuous resistive electrode of predetermined pattern for creating an analog type of display.
