    • Cellular telephone apparatus having at least two pieces that are separated or separable such that the cellular antenna may be situated at a distance from the user during use. The cellular telephone apparatus has a cellular antenna which communicates with the user microphone and speaker via either a cordless phone type radio link or a cord. High frequency, electromagnetic radiation emitted from the cellular antenna is thereby substantially diminished by the time it reaches the phone user. The apparatus may include a portable carrying case, such as a conventional attache case to provide the utility of a business briefcase, a cellular telephone base unit situated within an interior space of the carrying case, a cellular antenna coupled to the base unit, a dial pad arranged on an exterior wall of the carrying case, and either a speaker phone unit arranged on the exterior wall of the carrying case, a communications unit coupled to the base unit so that the communications unit is positionable during use at a position away from the cellular antenna which is situated at the carrying case. The communications unit may be either a handset/microphone unit or a headset/microphone unit.

    • A vehicle signaling method and device for alerting drivers approaching from a rear of the vehicle including at least one light emitting signal arranged on an element of the vehicle facing rearward, a velocity measurement sensor for measuring an absolute velocity of the vehicle and a control unit coupled to the velocity measurement sensor for determining if the measured absolute velocity is greater than a threshold velocity. In one embodiment, there is a manual light activation unit which is connected to the control unit and the light emitting signal(s). The manual light activation unit is controlled by the control unit to enable the light emitting signal(s) to be activated only if the measured absolute velocity is less than the threshold velocity. In another embodiment, which can be used separate from or together with the velocity control unit, the device includes a deceleration measurement sensor coupled to the velocity threshold measurement sensor for measuring deceleration of the vehicle and which are activated by the control unit only if the measured absolute velocity is greater than a threshold velocity. A deceleration threshold determining unit then determines if the measured deceleration is greater than a threshold deceleration and the light emitting signal(s) is activated if the absolute velocity is greater than the threshold velocity as determined by the control unit and the measured deceleration is greater than the deceleration threshold as measured by the deceleration threshold determining unit.

    • A system is provided for acquiring increased proficiency in a new or target language by enabling frequent repeated hearing and mimicking of discrete audio sound bites in the target language, wherein the sound bites and their frequency of repetition may be easily selected by the user before or during use. The sound bites may be played singly or in sequential groups or user defined groups, and automatically repeated as necessary or desired to achieve audio imprinting of the sound bites by simply listening and repeating the sounds without substantial intellectual effort or attempts at memorization. The system enables user selected or sequential hearing and mimicking of specific sound bites or groups of sound bites repeatedly in each use session in the context of meaning, without requiring dedicated language learning time, and thereby helps reproduce the natural process of initial native language acquisition which occurs without substantial intellectual effort and memorization.
