    • A method for guaranteeing a service quality of a network service is disclosed that includes the steps of storing a historical record of a network service quality, inputting an acceptable maximal service delay of the network service, inputting a desired control level between the service quality of the network service and the number of users of the network service, determining the content of service quality guarantee, which can be provided to each service node, with respect to each pair of service nodes in accordance with the historical record, the maximal service delay, and the control level between the service quality and the number of users, monitoring the service quality between a corresponding pair of service nodes in accordance with the content of service quality guarantee, and regulating the network service between a pair of service nodes in a case where degradation of service quality occurs between the pair of service nodes.

    • A route control system includes a status measuring unit, a cost management unit, a route determining unit, and a route setting unit. The status measuring unit checks a status of each node included in a network. The status is a wake state or a sleep state. The cost management unit updates a link cost for a link connected to a node in the wake state to a value smaller than any link cost for a link connected to a node in the sleep state. The route determining unit determines an optimum route connecting a first terminal to a second terminal. A sum of the link costs for the optimum route is lowest among the link costs for other available routes connecting the first terminal to the second terminal. The route setting unit sets a requested data flow in the optimum route.

If a state in which the usage percentages of two or more routes are greater than zero continues for a determined period of time, then the processor determines that an equilibrium state has arisen. Upon detecting the equilibrium state, the processor sets usage percentages of the two or more routes between which there is a difference in the storage unit.

    • An attraction acquisition unit of a first router acquires attraction values of third and fourth routers. When many packets the destination of which is a second router (identifier “A”) are then inputted to the first router, a traffic control unit distributes the many packets among communication interfaces so that a higher volume of traffic is sent to a communication interface with which a larger attraction value is associated. The traffic control unit then sends the many packets via the communication interfaces. As a result, a good part of the many packets are limited to a transmission route via the third router.
