One embodiment of a method includes estimating, for an antenna in an antenna array including a plurality of antennas, interference parameters using analog signals received at the antenna on each of a plurality of subcarriers. Each interference parameter is associated with one of a plurality of symbols transmitted to one of a plurality of users on one of the plurality of subcarriers. This embodiment also includes canceling interference from analog signals received by the antenna on the plurality of subcarriers using the estimated interference parameters.

摘要： In a method for transmitting data through a Massive MIMO backhaul system, a central node of the MIMO backhaul system transmits, to a small cell repeater terminal on the downlink, a downlink pilot signal carrying a set of pilot sequences that are mutually orthogonal in the frequency domain. Each pilot sequence in the set of pilot sequences corresponds to an antenna of an antenna array at the central node. The central node receives an uplink pilot signal carrying the set of pilot sequences transmitted by the small cell repeater terminal on the uplink, where the received uplink pilot signal is a frequency converted retransmission of the downlink pilot signal. The central node estimates at least one of an uplink channel and a downlink channel between the central node and the small cell repeater terminal based on the set of pilot sequences and the received uplink pilot signal.

摘要： The user terminals of a wireless communication system transmit forward channel state information (CSI) to a base station having two or more antennas. The user terminals concurrently transmit pilot signals to the base station in the form of predetermined time sequences of values. The pilot transmissions of respective user terminals are orthogonal to each other, so that reverse CSI can be derived from the pilot signals as received at the base station. The user terminals also concurrently transmit sequences, referred to as “CSI sequences,” that encode channel coefficients for propagation from each of the base station antennas to the user terminals. The CSI sequences are transmitted within enough time of the pilot sequences for the base station to use reverse CSI derived from the pilot sequences to interpret the CSI sequences as received at the base station.
