摘要： A mailer assembly which can be supplied to a user in intermediate form and which, when assembled and sealed, has an enhanced ability to shield confidential information from unauthorized view is provided. The mailer assembly may also include an integral return envelope and also may be designed so that variable information can be printed on the sheets making up the mailer prior to assembly using nonimpact printers such as laser printers which use heat and pressure to fuse toner to paper. The mailer assembly includes first and second sheets in superimposed relation, with each of the first and second sheets having a pair of marginal side edges and a pair of end edges. The mailer further includes removable marginal side and end strips for opening the mailer. The first and second sheets are secured together parallel to their respective marginal side and end edges to form a subassembly. The subassembly is V-folded along a suitable axis thereof and secured together along its marginal and end strips to form the mailer assembly.

摘要： A cellulosic substrate which is suitable for use as a mailer or envelope and which has at least one transparentized portion is provided. A method of transparentizing a cellulosic substrate by the application of a transparentizing material which provides enhanced toner adhesion properties, fast penetration rates and which is cured by exposure to radiation is also provided. The addition of small amounts of water to the transparentizing material enhances penetration rates. Further, these transparentizing materials may be applied without the need for solvents. These features thus permit continuous, in-line transparentization.

The patch extends over the opening. The liner material has an upper surface facing the die cut opening in the carrier sheet, and carries a release coating on the upper surface. A two ply label assembly is mounted on the patch of liner material in the die cut opening. The two ply label assembly includes a transparent ply mounted on the upper surface of the patch of liner material, and a label ply mounted on the transparent ply. The form is manufactured by: a.) die cutting an opening in a piece of carrier material; b.) adhesively affixing a patch of liner material to the piece of carrier material; c.) mounting a transparent ply on the patch of liner material within the die cut opening; and d.) mounting a label ply on the transparent ply. The form is used by: a.) removing the label ply from the transparent ply; b.) adhesively securing the label ply to the label support surface; c.) removing the transparent ply from the patch of liner material; and d.) adhesively securing the transparent ply to the label ply and to the label support surface, such that the transparent ply completely covers the label ply, thereby protecting the label ply while permitting the indicia to be viewed.
