    • The present invention provides an organic luminescent device comprising a first electrode, two or more organic layers and a second electrode, and a manufacturing method for the same. A characterising feature is that the first electrode comprises a conductive layer and an n-type organic layer in contact with the conductive layer; one of the organic layers interposed between the n-type organic layer of the first electrode and the second electrode is a p-type organic layer forming an NP junction with the n-type organic layer of the first electrode; and the energy levels of the layers satisfy the following Formulae (1) and (2), and another characterising feature is that one or more of the organic layers interposed between the p-type organic layer and the second electrode is (are) n-type doped with an alkaline earth metal: 0eV nL - EF1 = 4eV (1); and EpH - EnL = 1eV (2). In Formulae (1) and (2), EF1 is the Fermi energy level, EnL is the LUMO (lowest unoccupied molecular orbital) energy level of the n-type organic layer of the first electrode, and EpH is the HOMO (highest occupied molecular orbital) energy level of the p-type organic layer forming the NP junction with the n-type organic layer of the first electrode.
