    • [Problem] A method and system for automatically creating a parts list of an industrial product composed of parts and drawing a three-dimensional illustration on the basis of the three-dimensional CAD data and XVL data on the product. [Means for Solving the Problem] From the main point of view of the invention, a method for creating a parts catalog including a parts list and an exploded illustration corresponding to the parts list is provided. The method is characterized by comprising (a) a step of assigning, according to the parts list, reference numbers to parts groups belonging to the initial step of disassembly and parts groups belonging to the intermediate step of disassembly, (b) a step of making a disassembly algorithm according to the parts list, and (c) a step of drawing an exploded illustration according to the disassembly algorithm and according to the disassembly limits, i.e., the parts and parts groups to which the reference numbers are assigned and putting the reference numbers to the parts and parts groups in the exploded illustration.
