    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for relocating seaweeds each with excellent rootage by relocating without collapsing soil around roots which are collected together with seaweed while suppressing pollution of seawater.
      SOLUTION: This apparatus for relocating seaweed has a collecting case 1 which is attached to a relocation attachment 6, and composed of an outer case 2 whose front side is opened, and an inner case 3 whose front side inserted into the collecting case 1 and bottom are opened. The method for relocating seaweed comprises collecting seaweed W together with soil S around the roots from the front side through operating a back hoe boom 5, temporarily putting the collecting case 1 on a barge followed by transferring, making the collecting case 1 approach to the bottom of the sea through operating the back hoe boom 5, bringing the bottom of the inner case 3 fixed as it is in an opening condition through moving the outer case 2 back, and arranging the collected seaweed W together with the soil S in the bottom of the sea of relocation destination.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transplanting seaweed by which soil at the root parts of the seaweed collected together with the seaweed is transferred without being crumbled while preventing seawater from contamination to improve rootage of the seaweed: and to provide a device for transplanting seaweed.
      SOLUTION: The method for transplanting seaweed comprises the following process: pressing a cylindrical collection case 1 onto seabed soil S from above using a press-fitting attachment 5 attached to the tip end part of a boom 4 of a back hoe 3 followed by mounting a bottom plate on the bottom part of the collecting case 1 using a slide attachment changed for the press-fitting attachment 5 to close the bottom part; housing the seaweed W in the collecting case 1 together with the soil S; temporarily placing the collecting case 1 on a barge 7 to be moved; setting the collecting case 1 on the soil for transplanting the seaweed followed by eliminating the bottom plate using the slide attachment; placing the seaweed W on the soil for transplanting the seaweed together with the soil S; and then raising the collection case 1.
